Excavation in foundation, trenches ( for pipes & pits) upto all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including bailing and pumping out water, blasting soft/ hard rock or chieselling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring /strutting , planking, timbering & dewatering wherever required, stacking the useable & unuseable material /soil separately & after laying jointing & testing of pipes, returning the useable soil in trenches in 15 cm layers including consolidating of such deposoited layer by ramming & watering & then disposing of all surplus excavated soil /unusable material as directed with in all leads & lifts including restoration of metaled , unmetalled surfaces & including cost of diversion for traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects with in all leads & lifts as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing , laying, jointing & testing MSERW pipes ( Zinc coated) of HP Govt.approved make make with 95 % circumfrential butt welded joints & 5% intermediate flanged joints of total length by electrical arc welding (weld thickness shall be equal to pipe wall thickness) confirming to BIS/ISO: 3183-2007 of steel grade L- 290 or X-42 (latest with upto date amendments) for the following pipe diametres having wall thickness & flange table as specified below & capable of withstanding required test pressure in a random length of 5.5 to 6.5 meters including cost of manufacturing/fabrication of reducers/ tapers , all short pieces, bends etc. made from parent tubes as per site requirements. The laying of pipe, where ever required, shall include flanged joints duly welded in three layers (two at outer & one at inner face) at suitable spacing as per the directions of the Enginer-in-charge ( Earth work in trenches and the cost of providing flanges i/c nuts & bolts & gasket will be measured and paid for seperately) and all operations such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees i.e. lowering & laying in excavated Trenches to ensure required level i/c flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects shall be carried out to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe and the pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per relevant IS standards and the damaged portion of the pipes and specials ( if damaged during laying jointing operation of pipe) made form the parent tube , shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. The rates also includes entire carriage of materialwith in all leads and lifts, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing , DP test of butt welded joints complete in all respect and to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge .
