AUDITORIUM SEATS MIDDLE & SIDE STAND: Consisting of pressed steel base that is ribbed and with 2 counters sunk holes for floor fixing. This is so designed to give maximum support, Durability & Strength. The leg will contain a cavity of atleast 30mm x 80mm to receive the tubular section. All welds of the tubular section with the leg to be reversed and concealed. Legs of 80 x 30 x 1.5 steel tubes all welded by continuous arc and suitably capped by polypropylene capping with groves specifically designed for this purpose. An axis support and locking ring will be fixed on to the leg by 3 screws 4.8 x 32mm. Long use pacers will be required to enhance the center to 598 mm such that symmetrical aisle requirements are met. All end legs will have large upholstered end panels fixed to the outer size of the standard. Panels will be 4mm plywood with anti termite treatment covered with fabrics. In case of a chair with a writing tablet, the tablet will be concealed in the arm. The armrest will be one piece, 400mm in length & 80mm in breadth & bolted to the stand, the height of the stand will be 600 mm. The centre to centre distance of the chair will not exceed 598 mm. Metal inserts or studs to be welded on either side of the stand which would receive the bolt for the plastic shell. 40.(a)POWDER COATING: Special care is to be taken to ensure that all metals components to be given egreasing, De rusting, Activation, Passivation and Pickling Treatment before utilizing in the manufacturing. The seven tank cleaning process toward all metal parts will ensure a lasting finish. All metal components to be electrostatically powder coated to ensure grid adherence of one hundred percent and coating thickness of atleast sixty-five microns. All MS components to receive oven baking till 200 degrees centigrade 40(b).Seat to have a 19mm x 16 gauge M.S. Round frame of required length or 12 mm thick ply wood with “T” nut hammered in them, wherever there is Allen to be received there should be a MS Flat with threaded insert or “T” nut hammered in ply. Wherever the support of the shell is coming there should be a MS Flat with threading to support the Allen key. On the rear part of the seat there should be a projection of about one inch to go in the plastic shell. Seat cushioning to be about 120mm in the front duly rounded & tapering to be about 60mm in the rear, seat to have a sunk portion in the center for ergonomics. Fabric to be integrally moulded together with P.U.and frame work. 40(c).BACK: Back to be with M.S.Flat and M.S.Roundtubular frame of 19mm x16 G or Plywood with “T” nut hammered in them, wherever there is Allen to be received their should be a M.S.Flat with threaded insert or “T” nut hammered in ply. The upholstery design to be center line with two wings on either side. Back to be ergonomically and profiled for lumbar support. Head of the support thickness to be 90mm on top to 90mm below tapered with two bulge on either side and counter sunk portion in the center and middle. When kept on a flat surface duly inverted height of the back to be About 95mm on top, 85mm in center and about 80mm in the base. This is ergonomically designed. Back to be 685mm high and 475mm in breadth. 40(d).BACK SHELL: Back shell to be Black in P.P. plastic only about 4mm thick height of the back to be 740mm x 475mm. With walls of about 40mm in top, 65mm in middle and 80mm in base. Back to be etched in a decorative pattern with parallel ribs for supports, four concealed countersunk holes to receive the screws. 40(e).SEAT SHELL: Seat Shell thickness to be about 2-4mm. Seat shell to be 475 mm x 435 mm, with a walls of about 50 mm on top, & 4 mm thick. Bottom of seat shell to have concealed springs on either side with axis rod to support the shell. Bottom of the seat to have shell enclosed with gravity weight oriented tip up movement or the tip up mechanism has to be supported with tampered springs guaranteed for life. 40.(f)NSTALLATION: To be done by expandable fastners 75mm X 12mm OR as per site conditions 40.(g)FABRIC: Fabric to be of approved Shade & conforming to BS 5852 & CA117 as specified by the architects. 40(h)CHAIR DIMENSION: The vertical distance between the edge of the seat to the edge of the back should not be more than 730 mm.
