Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion,damage to hill side,water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side track shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock(where blasting is prohibited). all earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines,grades,side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge,in conform it with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. clause 1603.1( one six zero three point one) and 1603-.2( one six zero three point two) of general conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal & dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner,trimming,filling of unevenness,blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones,whether useful or not, for 714.47 cum(seven hundred Fourteen point forty seven cubic metre)in all cases,@rupees 300/- only(Rupees three hundred only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro- rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.

Construction of embankment with approved materials obtained from borrow pits and deposited at site from cutting and excavation with lift in all heights, transporting to site spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5.(Three zero one point five) including all leads,lifts and carriage of materials complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge.

Providing and laying Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with spalls and consolidating with power road roller to the required gradient and camber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HPPWD specifications. 100mm spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour), including all leads,lifts and carriage of materials complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge.
