All doors and covers shall be provided with cyllendrical panel locked .The panel shall be provided with alluminium bus bars,electrolytic grade of adequate rating or as specified below.The bus bars and interconnecting links shall be insulated with heat shrinkable PVC sleeve with RYB and black colour coding.The bus bar shall be supported on unbreakable,non hygroscopic,SMC insulated supports at sufficiently close interval to prevent bus bars sag and shall be housed in a dedicated compartment.The panel shall be prewired with FRLS PVC insulated coper conductors cables of suitable size properly tagged and secured..The panel shall be provided with digital Voltmeter/Ammeter with cast resign CTs & RYB LED indicating lamps at incoming.

M&L for brick protection cover of UG cable by old size bricks common burnt clay building bricks sub class `B’ laid dry and flat abutting each other with width equal to length of brick and gap between adjacent brick not exceeding 10mm complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying, laying, jointing and testing in replacement in trenches, passing through ducts/pipes, fixing along poles, jointing and testing ; XLPE cable insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel wire or strip armoured electric power cable (heavy duty) with aluminium stranded conductor 1100 volts grade of size 3.5 core 240 Sq mm including taking down old unserviceable cable complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level,the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15cm on all side and including connected to and including galvanized earth lead strip 32X6 mm size upto 7.5 mtrs long by means of nuts and bolts, check nuts and washers of GI and connected to earhing test point and panel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES SSR part I and testing on completion including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil,PCC(1:3:6)type C1 chamber,pre-cast RCC slab 50mm thick in cement concrete (1:2:4),type B1,reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM,(weight not less than 4 Kg per Sqm) with cast iron frame,funnel with watering pipe 20mm dia medium grade,wire mesh and lugs,GI protection pipe,40mm dia,light grade,upto7.5 mtr long for protection of earth lead upto test point etc all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Any variation in length of earth lead and protection pipe of earth lead shall be adjusted through DO. (ii) On testing, if the desired earth resistance is not obtained, enitre earthing shall be re-done by contractor till the desired earth resistance is obtained without accruing any extra cost to the government. (iii) The chamber shall be constructed atleast 1.5 mtr away from the earth electrode.

M&L for Dismantling insulators any type, any size from LT poles complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge.

Special Notes:- (a) Contractor will provide all set of T&P, communication device (Mobile Phone) to deployed persons/ electrician team as required for repair of LT Electrical switch gear system including safety equipment (Bamboo ladders, shorting rod, screw drivers, wire/cable cutters with blades, multi meters, cutting pliers, torch lights and rain coat etc.) for routine maintenance and protection of the trademan.(b) On intimation of any type of repair/maintenance work of LT switch gear incomer as well as out going feeder the contractor is responsible to locate the fault by the dedicated team comprising tradesman helpers required numbers as per the gravity /nature of the work involved to restore the power supply (not less than one electrician and one helper) and communicate with SBA on duty and getting permit card for working on LT lines and deposit the permit card after rectification of fault, all the activities shall be carried out within reasonable time as given by the Engr-in-Charge. (c) Contractor will provide necessary complaint slip, complaint boook & permit book, contractor will direct the instructions to indls for lodgging the complaints duly marked the location, time and date for earlier rectifications. (d) After getting the complaints, team deployed by the contractor will rectify the complaints within stipulated time i.e within 2 hours from the time of receiving of complaints. (e) Contractor should also provide a dedicated supervisor for collection of complaints from SBA, JE etc. He would be held responsible, in case complaints are not collected timely.

Returning filling including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soil completed all as specified and directed.

Attending Complaints of locating the fault in LT line in OH/UG Line/cable by visual inspection recce of faulty area and repairs to the fault by means of replacement of Unservicible Jumpers / Fuse wires / Burnt lugs / MCCB/ Cable etc. inclusive of restringing of broken ACSR conductors/ Earth wire incl. taking out and relaying the same after defects rectification upto 5M length. Note : (i) Materials requried for fault repairs will be measured under relevant items included in BOQ. (ii) Contractor will depute the dedicated team, he will be completely responsible for all the safety aspects of his team. No dispute regarding safety of person would be entertained later on. If any mishappening occures during rectification of fault in LT lines contractor will be fully liable to bear all the expenses of indls.
