Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth-earth-work undressed with all lead & lift including breaking of clods. (HSR 6.2b) , and relaying the same for making of berms and side slopes including laying , dressing, watering & rolling as per HSR 6.2 g-i, g iii & g-v -

Preparation of sub-grade including trenching rough dressing of soil, final dressing of earth to given levels and chamber , watering, rolling with road roller and compacting the bed in all respect before laying paving material [confirming to clause 301 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004] Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.

Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift and including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305 and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work conforming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section . This item also includes E/W if required in sub grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR of 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.

Providing laying, watering and compacting of 150 mm GRANULAR SUB BASE COARSE (G-III) graded by providing well graded material spreading in uniform layers with mortar grader on prepared surface mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per technical specification of MoRD clause 401 for Rural Roads 2004). Note:- Only crushed material should be used, no local earth/sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero plasticity index (P-I) 2. Material and operation manufacturing shall be approved by Engineer.

Providing, Laying, Spreading and Compacting in-situ/borrow area soil of CBR 5% mixed with 30% crushed aggregate / GSB Grade 2 as per mix design. (In Wdg.) Application: (1) Spread, rip and loosen soil with excavator / tractor operated ripper and scarify with tractor operated rotavator to achieve desired thickness. Mix aggregates 30% as per mix design in soil. (2) Spread Cement 3% by weight of soil & aggregate mix and scarify with rotavator for mixing thoroughly. (3) Apply 0.60 kg /cum organosilane Nanotechnology and 0.60 kg /cum nano acrylic copolymer mixed in OMC water (1000 ppm TDS) on loose soil-aggregate-cement mixes. Scarify the treated material with rotavator and grade it with grader and do light compaction with vibratory compactor. (4) Compact the stabilized soil-cement-aggregate base with 8 to 10 tonne vibratory roller to achieve the desired density.Rates include all material, labour, hire charges of machinery etc. as per MoRD specifications & direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Scarify the treated material with rotavator and grade it with grader and do light compaction with vibratory compactor. (4) Compact the stabilized soil-cement-aggregate base with 8 to 10 tonne vibratory roller to achieve the desired density. Rates include all material, labour, hire charges of machinery etc. as per MoRD specifications & direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying 75/150 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-II) 53mm to 22.4mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type ‘B’ compacting with three wheeled power rollers of 80-100 kN capacity or tandem or vibratory of 80-100 kN static weigth to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause no 405 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004) as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects.(N.S.)Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth/ natural occurring sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI).2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-I) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer mix including bitumen emulsion @ 1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical specification clause 502 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004. Instructions issued from time to time by MoRD regarding bitumen emulsion will be followed strictly. Note:- Bituminous Macadam to be laid with in 24 Hrs. of laying primer coat & Tack coat does not required to be provided above the primer coat.However, if the BM is not laid with in 24 hours of laying prime coat, then tack coat would have to be provided by the contractor but no payment of the same shall be made and it would be incidental to work.

Providing and applying Tack coat of VG 10 ( 80/100 grade) bitumen using bitumen @ 0.25 kg per sqm including clearing and blowing dust off the surface using a compressor and brooms conforming to clause 503 of MoRD specification-2004. Instructions issued from time to time by MoRD regarding bitumen VG-10 will be followed strictly.

Pdg& laying 50mm BM using the reclaimed material to the extent of 30% of the required quantity, hauling and stockpiling the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant after carrying out necessary checks and evaluation, adding fresh material including rejuvenators as required, mixing in drum type hot mix plant, with appropriate arrangement for use of R.A.P., transporting and laying at site with hydraulic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade and compacting to the required grade level and thickness with appropriate rollers all as specified in clause 519 (5th Revision) of 2013 using bitumen VG-30. (minimum Bitumen's 3.40% i/c bitumen of retrieved material as per job mix formula) complete in all respect.Note: -1. The milled material to be used in BM shall be minimum 80% of the theoretical quantity.2. If bitumen required more than 3.40% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be paid extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.3. Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-Charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor.

Providing and Laying 50 mm thick Compacted bituminous macadam in (BM) in one layer by drum type hot mix plant and paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level, aligment and rolling with appropriat rollers as specified as per clause No. 504 table No. 500-4 of MoRD specification using minimum 3.4 % bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects i/c cost of bitumen, instruction issued from time to time by MoRD regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRD specification in mandatory.If bitumen required is this account more than 3.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Providing and laying 20mm thick premix carpet (PC) excluding cost of tack coat, with mixed material brought from Hot mix plant and laying with paver finisher and compacting with road roller to achieve specified value of compaction and direction of Engineer including cost of lighting arrangement, sign board and night watch, complete in all respect. i/c cost of Bitumen VG-10 grade as per clause 510 MoRT&H specification (5th edition) 2013 (NS) Note: Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. Providing and laying ‘B’ type seal coat with VG-10 grade bitumen @ 0.68 kg per sqm of road excluding cost of tack coat, with mixed material brought from Hot mix plant and laying with paver finisher and compacting with road roller to achieve specified/desirable value of compaction as per direction of Engineer including cost of lighting arrangement, sign board and night watch, complete in all respect as per clause 510 of MoRD specification for rural roads 2004.

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10cms wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 1702 of MoRD specification . Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads .the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note:- Before start of work the contractor shall give brand , batch no. , manufacturing date of the material to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Providing and laying 80mm thick interlocking paver blocks of all shapes and colours in design mix cement M-40 over a bed of 30mm thick fine sand complete in all respect. (HSR 10.159)

Manufacturing, laying of table vibrator cement concrete blocks of size 0.450mm X0.300mm X 0.150mm of cement concrete(C.C) M-30 grade and spreading 25mm thick sand under neath and filling joints with sand on existing base as per Technical specification Clause 1503 of MoRD specification for Rural roads 2004.

The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frme of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos,.75mmX75mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mmX450mmX600mm below ground level. The top most diamond plate will be welded to middle plate by 47mmX47mm of 12 SWG steel plate tube . All MS will be stove enamelded on both sides. Providing and fixing sign boards on the gantry as provided in the item No. 29 above, of size 3.05m x 1.525m made out of retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro prismatic grade confirming to IRC:67 – 2012 Type IV standard fixed on 4mm thick Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP sheet) as base board with pressure-sensitive adhesive numerals etc.) and borders of Retro Reflective Boards with pressure-sensitive adhesive having 0.5 mm thick Aluminum on both sides. The message (legends, letters, numerals etc.) and borders of Retro Reflective Boards shall be of cut letters made in transparent overlay film pasted over the base sheeting with pressure sensitive adhesive or as instructed by the manufacturers or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- 1.) Work will be carried out as per MoRTH specification for road and bridges works (5th revision). 2.) Retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro-prismatic grade confirming to IRC 67-2017 Type-IV Standard shall be of Avery Dennision/3M make only. 3.) Warranty and Durability as per clause 801.3.11 of MoRTH Specification 5th Revision will be applicable which is reproduced as under:- The contractor shall obtain from the manufacturer a ten year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the retro-reflective sheeting of micro-prismatic sheeting and a seven-year warranty for high intensity grade and submit the same to the Engineer. The warrenty shall be inclusive of the screen printed or cut out letters/legends and their bonding to the retro-reflective sheeting. The contractor/supplier shall also furnish the LOT numbers and certification that the signs and materials supplied against the assigned work meets all the stipulated requirements and carry the stipulated warranty and that the contractor / supplier is the authorized convertor of the particular sheeting. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty. The warranty shall also cover the replacement obligation by the sheeting manufacturer as well as contractor for replacement/repair/restoration of the retro-reflective efficiency. A certificate in original shall be given by the sheeting manufacturer that its offered retro-reflective sheeting has been tested for various parameters such as co-efficient of retro-reflection, day/night time colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, linear removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance; the tests shall be carried out by a Government Laboratory in accordance with various ASTM procedures and the results must show that the sheeting has passes the requirements for all the above mentioned parameters. A copy of the test reports shall be attached with the certificate.

Pavement marker (Cat eyes)Molded shank raised pavement marker made polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a lad of 16000 Kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50mm and 100mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm on each side and the slope to the base shall 35+/-5 degree.The strength of detachment of the intrgratedcyclindrical shanks(of diameter not less than 19+/-2mm and height no less than 30+/-2mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 kg .Fixing will be bt drilling without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation(of reputed make such as 3M etc.)

Providing and laying filter media with granular crushed aggregates as per specification to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and providing over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall, return wall to the full height, compacted to firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification clause 1204.3.8

Providing weep holes in Brick masonry/Plain/ Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall/ return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V :20H towards drawing face. Complete as per drawing and Technical Specifications clause No. 614, 709, 1204.3.7 of MoRD specification 2004

Fe-500 E.Q.R. TMT Steel bars for R.C.C. works, where not included in the complete rate of R.C.C. including bending, binding and placing in position complete. (HSR 18.22) NOTE-Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, exckuding overlaps. from the length so measured, the weigth of reinforcement shall be calculated in tones on the basis of IS:1732. Wastage, overlaps, couplings,weleded joints,spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement.

Note:- The bidder is not required to quote his rate for routine maintenance. The rates to be paid for routine maintenance are indicated in the Bill of Quantities. Further, the payment for routine maintenance to the contractor shall be regulated based on his performance of maintenance activities as per chapter eleven of rural road in manual (IRC-SP-20-2002) available on contract data to general condition of contract.
