Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, and disposal with all Lead and lift, dressing of side and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable material as per clause no. 305 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004.

Excavation for roadwork in soil by manual/mechanical means including cutting , trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, including breaking of clods and disposal within ROW as per technical clause 301 of MORT&H specifications.(HSR 17.74)

Compaction of & preparation of sub grade including loosening, levelling of earth 225 mm thick top layer, rough dressing of soil, final dressing of earth to give level, camber, watering, rolling with road roller, compacting the bed to achieve minimum dry density as given in the Table 3000-2 as per technical clause 305 of MORT&H specifications (HSR 17.5.3)

Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift and including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 30 and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work confirming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section. This item also includes E/W if required in sub grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.

Providing and laying 150mm thick granular sub base consisting of filter layer confirming to Table 400.1 Grading-I of MoRD specification, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mix material to the site of work, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared suface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve desired density complete as per clause No. 401 of MoRD specification-2004. Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing and laying surface dressing as wearing course in First coat using crushed stone aggregates of 13mm nominal size Pre-coated chipping with Bitumen @ of 1.00% weight of Chips of specified size on a layer of bituminus binder VG-10@ 0.80 kg per sqm laid on prepared surface and rolling with 8-10 tonne smooth wheeled steel roller complete as per technical clause 509 of MORT&H specifications. Note:-1. The agreegated are to be laid only using automatic Chip Spreader & no manual laying is allowed. 2. The underlying Surface Cource on which Surface Dressing is to be laid shall be prepared, Shaped and Conditioned to a uniform grade, Camber and section as specified. Any depressions or Pot-Holes shall be properly made up and compacted sufficiently in advance. All pot-holes and depressions shall be filled up with a suitable premix material and rammed or rolled properly and brought to shape. Where the existing surface shows sign of fatting-up. Such portion should be rectified. This work be incidental to work.

Providing and laying surface dressing as wearing course in Second coat using crushed stone aggregates of 10mm nominal size Pre-coated chipping with Bitumen @ of 1.00% weight of Chips of specified size on a layer of bituminous binder VG-10@ 0.70 Kg per sqm laid on prepared surface and rolling with 8-10 tonne smooth wheeled steel roller complete as per technical clause 509 of MORT&H specifications. Note:- 1. The agreegated are to be laid only using automatic Chip Spreader & no manual laying is allowed. 2. The second coat should not be applied until the first coat has been opened to traffic for 2 to 3 weeks.

Removal of existing CC Block pavement including transporting and stacking usable block along road side and dispose unusable blocks outside PWD land or as desired by Engineer. (HSR 17.67).

Relaying of available (removed and stacked)C.C. Block M-30 Size 450x300x150mm and spreading 25mm thick sand underneath filling joints with sand as per technical specification clause 1503. (HSR 17.68)

Providing and laying of cement concrete blocks of size 0.450 m x0.300 m x 0.15 m of cement concrete (C.C) M30 grade and spreading 25 mm thick sand underneath filling joints with sand on existing W.B.M./G.S.B base as per technical specification clause 1503 (HSR.17.66.1)

Providing and laying 600mm dia reinforced cement concrete pipe NP-4 for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1 :2 but excluding excavation, protection works, backfilling, concrete and masonry works in head walls and parapets as per clause 2900 of MORT&H specifications Note: - Contractor shall supply bill of manufacture of pipes. Pipes should bear name of manufacturer and ISI mark along with bill duly valid ISI certificate of manufacturer should be supply. Without these bills certificate no payment shall be released

The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frme of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos,.75mmX75mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mmX450mmX600mm below ground level. The top most diamond plate will be welded to middle plate by 47mmX47mm of 12 SWG steel plate tube . All MS will be stove enamelded on both sides. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. All sections of framed posts and steel tube will be painted with primer and two coats of epoxy paint as per drawing Clause 1701 and Annexure 1700.0. .

Supplying and fixing of single mould twin shank reflective road studs (cat eyes) made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values@ ASTM E 809 & ASTM D 4280. The detailed specifications and the product shall conform to ASTM D4280 and ASTM E 809. The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 like abrasion resistance and fixed to the road surface using the epoxy adhesive. Two cylindrical polymer shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be moulded in the RPM body. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The marker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kgf force in accordance with ASTM D4280. Marker lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methyl Methacrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The supplier shall provide a 2 years warranty for satisfactory field performance as per clause804.7.3 of MORT&H 5th revision specifications (HSR.34.34)

Providing and laying in position ready mixed M-15 grade plain cement concrete @ 240 kg/cum with cement content as per approved design mix and manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for plain cement concrete work, including pumping of R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying and curing, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing, including cost of curing, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS : 9103 to accelerate/ retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.(HSR.6.22.2.2) (Note: - Cement content considered in this item is @ 240 kg/cum. Less cement used as per design mix is recoverable. However no extra payment shall be made if excess cement is used as per design mix).

Brick work with common burnt clay non modular bricks of class designation 10.5 in foundation and plinth in cement Mortar 1:4. (HSR 7.21.1)4

Recovery Items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under:- (i) Old Bituminous material @1954/- per cum

(ii)Old Granular material @ 897/- per cum Note:- All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual dismantling and if martial after dismantling is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser that reserve price Note:- If any discrepancy found in the unit/Nomenclature in the items of BOQ. The nomenclature of HSR/MoRD shall be applicable. NOTE- It may kindly be noted that the contractor would be obligated to carry out 05 years paid maintenance as per the rates fixed in the DNIT. However, the items of 05 years maintenance shall not be part of BOQ to avoid any confusion.
