Cleaning/removal of silt/ malba/muck from cooling tower basin of unit-8 manually or mechanically with the help of pumps etc. Including dewatering & making arrangement of all T&P, motors, panels, pipes, accessories etc. and cleaning of duct thoroughly connecting cooing tower sump to sludge pit & disposal of the silt as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge. The cost shall also include making of bundh in-side the cooling tower with empty cement bags filled with earth to stop/control the entry of the water in cooling tower & removal of the same after completion of the work. (Empty bags, earth/ sand and labour etc. are to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost or by providing temporary brick wall AND To make the sludge gate (2 no.s) of Cooling tower Unit-8 functional involving the following scopes a) Opening of valve b) Complete service of the valves i.e. complete dismantling, cleaning, greasing, lapping, reboxup the sliding gate with valves etc.

Dewatering / cleaning of CW suction pit at CW pump house involving removal of silt/ sludge /fills other waste material laying in sump to low laying area as per direction of EIC. The rate inclusive of making arrangement of pumps cables etc. for dewatering complete in all respects. Minimum 5 to 6 pumps of 10HP will be required for dewatering (only Electricity will be supplied by the department free of cost at one point.

Lowering / lifting of CW gates for restriction of entry of water in sump making all arrangement for assembly gates, SS nut bolts, SS tie roads and all other arrangement for lifting / lowering gates. (only crane will be arranged by department free of cost)
