The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The experience should be in road widening works, specifically those involving items of WBM/WMM and paver laid asphalt work, or carriage way widening with an addition of carriageway not less than 3.0m. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily.
