The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, where the sub-contract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid documents, with experience in civil engineering constructions over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have performed work of a similar nature, with quantities of work executed considered, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, among others. The bidder should also provide information on the value of contracts completed. In terms of specific values and percentages, substantially completed works, which means those works that are at least 90% completed, will be considered. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The contract value and billing amount should be provided for each completed work, along with a certificate from the employer incorporating the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, and satisfactory performance of the contractor.
