The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The bidder should have executed all main items of work described in the bid document as a prime contractor or sub-contractor in the last five years. The experience should include execution of quantities of work such as Cement Concrete, Masonry, Earth Works, and Bituminous Work. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work performed in the past and details on the value of contracts completed, with specific years mentioned. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for. The substantially completed works should be at least 90% completed, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. The bidder should provide a certificate from the employer, incorporating relevant information, for the substantially completed works. The required prior work experience also includes having personnel with adequate experience and having access to, or having available, liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract/contracts applied.
