The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in similar works, with details such as the name and address of the employer, description of works, contract number, value of contract, and date of issue of work order to be provided. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works are those that are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder should provide a certificate from the employer for such works, incorporating details such as the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, and date of commencement of works. The value and percentage of similar works completed include at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract for substantially completed works, and at least 90% completion for substantially completed works. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed, of the annual value of the contract or contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years. For joint ventures, the lead partner must meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria, with the experience of other joint venture partners considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria.
