The bidder should have prior work experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor, with execution of all main items of work described in the bid document, in the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The experience should include works of similar nature, with a requirement of substantially completed works, which means those works that are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years, with a value of at least Rs. 50 Cr. The bidder should provide information on the value of similar works completed, including cement concrete, masonry, earth works, and bituminous work. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. A percentage rate tender of 20% is mentioned. The bidder should also demonstrate access to liquid assets of up to 25 percent of the value of the contract. The bidder should provide quantities of work executed, including year, name of the work, name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and remarks.
