The required prior work experience for the bidder includes executing similar works as a prime contractor or a nominated sub-contractor, with the sub-contract involving execution of all main items of work described in the bid documents. The experience should be in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should provide information on the project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. Additionally, the bidder should provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, with the value of the contract and the percentage of work completed. The percentage of completion of similar works should be at least 90% to be considered substantially completed. The bidder should have executed works of a similar nature over the last five years, with the value of such works being mentioned in the bid documents. The required prior work experience includes execution of works with values such as more than Rs.50 lakhs, more than Rs.15 lakhs but less than Rs.50 lakhs, less than Rs.15 lakhs but more than Rs.5 lakhs, and less than Rs.5 lakhs. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission, i.e., gross value of work done up to the last date of submission is 90 percent or more of the original contract price.
