The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having performed works of a similar nature and volume over the last seven years. The bidder should have completed works with a total value of at least 20 lakhs in the last five years. They should also have experience in key activities, with a total contract amount and quantity performed under the contract per year or part of the year in the last 7 years. The bidder should have acquired experience in the execution of all major items of works under the proposed contract. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have completed 60% of the quantity of principal items of work within the last five financial years. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of similar work of construction or erection of hydraulic structure in river within the last five financial years. The works may have been executed by the applicant as prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. Values like amount and percentage include: - Total value of Civil engineering constructions work performed in the last five years: 20 lakhs - Average annual construction turnover: amount in Rs. - Total contract amount: amount in Rs. - Percentage participation: percentage - Actual quantity performed: calculated as percentage participation x total quantity in the contract. The percentage participation in total contract amount should be specified if the bidder is a member in a JV or subcontractor. The bidder should provide a certificate from the employer, incorporating the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, and other relevant information. The experience certificate should be signed by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer (EE).
