The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of similar work of nature of at least 80 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed as a prime contractor, joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for in any one year, over the last five years. The required experience also includes execution of all major items of works under the proposed contract. Specifically, the experience requirements are as follows: - Average Annual Financial Turnover During the last Five years, should be at least 80% of the estimated cost. - Experience of having successfully completed Similar works during last 5 years should be either of the following: - Three completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost. - Two completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost. - For Civil Work: - Three completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, - One completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. In case of a joint venture, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria given. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature with a total value, and should have completed a certain percentage of the work as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should provide details of work performed, including project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. A certificate from the engineer-in-charge for the completed works should also be provided.
