The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed similar works through open/advertised tender anywhere in India within the last 7 years. The similar works should be of a certain value, which can be one of the following: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost. - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The work done through limited tender shall not be considered for experience criteria. For new contractors, the quantity/work distribution shall be restricted up to 10% of the tender amount or Rs 1.0 Lac for new-1 contractors, and up to 25% of the tender amount or Rs.2.0 Lac for new-2 contractors, subject to a ceiling of 40% of the tender amount for all such new-1 & new-2 bidders, provided the price of the new contractor is lower than the regular/experienced contractor.
