DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

N2O PURGING Inertization of entire pipeline between SVs (distances are given in SOR line) of 30-inch dia pipe, by supply, transportation and delivery of liquid nitrogen along with atmospheric vaporizer (minimum 3000 m3/hr capacity), arrangement of flexible hoses, temporary header and all associated valves & fittings for purging including work of purging by running pig, all required manpower, machinery etc. to remove hydrocarbon from the pipeline by ensuring zero (0) LEL before cold cutting for modification work. Nitrogen Purging for commissioning shall be carried out between mentioned SVs under the same SOR line. Party to submit the procedure for nitrogen purging and after approval job shall be carried out as per direction of EIC. Payment shall be made as per actual utilaztion of N2.

EXCAVATION Earth work in excavation by mechanical means or manual means over area exceeding 30 cm in depth up to required depth but exceeding 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan including getting out and disposal of excavated earth upto 50 m and all lifts for all type of soils, as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

MOBILIZATION CHARGES TO SV & IP STATIONS "Mobilization of all Contractor Supply materials along with contractor's manpower and materials to the work sites (all SVs and IPs) for the execution of the job as per the instruction of EIC. In case of mulitiple numbers of mobilization by the contractor, one time payment shall be made for mobilization to each SV. No additional payment shall be made for subsiquent mobilization. The contractor has to plan for the mobilization accordingly. The payment against this SOR line item shall bemade after the completion of the job. "

FABRICATION, ERECTION, COLT CUTTING, INSTALLATION AND TESTING OF PIPING-SIZE-02 INCH "Receiving and taking over of all Owner supplied materials from Owner's designated place(s) of issue, transportation including loading, unloading, handling from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to work site(s) including arranging all necessary intermediate storage area(s) thereof, as required. Supply of all materials, equipment, consumables as defined in Contractor's scope of supply and their transportation to the work site(s). Performing all above ground/buried piping fabrication works including cold cutting, edge preparation (inclusive of grinding the edges of pipes, fittings, flanges etc. to match with the matching edges of uneven/ different thickness wherever required), fit up, pre-heating wherever required, welding, threading etc. Erection of pipes of all types and thickness over sleepers, overhead on racks and at all elevations; hook-up with all types of inline and online instruments such as pressure/thermal safety valves(other than those covered separately), fittings of all sizes i.e. flow tees, insulating joints, elbows, reducers, tees, 'o' lets, flanges, blind flanges, spectacle blinds, tappings for pressure gauges, thermowells, hoses and hose couplings of all sizes,ifapplicable, vents and drains required for process and hydrotesting purposes etc. including carrying out non-destructive testing (excluding radiography covered subsequently in SOR) such as magnetic particle/ liquid penetration etc. as required. Pre-commissioning and providing commissioning assistance Owner for process piping and commissioning of non-process piping if applicable; clean-up and restoration of site, preparation of as built drawings, documents and project records; transportation of surplus free issue materials to Owner's designated place(s); completing all works in all respects as per the drawings, specifications, standards and other provisions of Contract and instruction of Engineer-in-Charge. DPT kit to be provided by the contractor for the periodic inspection during welding. The contractor has to perform qualification of welding procedure including Electrode Qualification (as per the Technical Specification for Welding provided in the Tender) on the same pipe that will be used for construction. The expenditure towards this activity is included in this SOR line item. Supply of all tools & tackles, rectifiers, consumables, lifting tools, Hydra, manpoer etc. required to complete this SOR line items is in the scope of contractor to complete the work in all aspects. Note :- a) All butt welded fittings end shall generally match with connecting pipe wall thickness. However, in case of misalignment, contractor shall have to do end preparation accordingly without any extra cost. b) All couplings, nipples etc. as required shall be supplied by contractor without any extra cost. "

RADIOGRAPHY TESTING "Performance of radiographic inspection of piping of all types, sizes, thickness including providing or hiring of all necessary equipment, supply of all consumables including radiographic films and whatever else even though not expressly mentioned but required to perform the work as per specification and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Contractor to submit RT Film along with Radiography Report verified by RT Level-II certified inspector to Engineer-in-Charge. "

ULTRASONIC TESTING UT of Under Ground and above ground Pipeline at different location of SVs, submission of interim and final inspection report, Analysis by level I/II inspector for General &Local Metal loss. Also this item includes mobilization-demobilization of the NDT personnel, required test equipments, tools, materials,consumable etc required for UT.

THIRD PARTY INSPECTION CHARGES "Contrator has to deploy reputed, experienced and independent Third Party Surveillance / Inspection Agency for carrying out regular Quality Surveillance of all the activities during pipeline modifications work Terminal/Station piping work, materials inspection at vender site, preparation and verification of welding works related documents, verification of line pipe coating etc confirming to design standards in line with GAIL's Quality Policy. The contractor has to approval for Third Party Surveillance / Inspection Agency bfore deploying at site. "

INSTALLATION OF VALVES (02 INCH) "Receiving and taking over of all Owner supplied materials from Owner's designated place(s) of issue, transportation including loading, unloading, handling from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to work site(s) including arranging all necessary intermediate storage area(s) thereof, as required. Supply of all materials (except those specified subsequently in SOR), equipment, consumables as defined in Contractor's scope of supply and their transportation to the work site(s). Installation of valves, including fixing of gaskets, bolts, studs, nuts wherever required, levelling, aligning, installation and assembly pipes at all elevations, testing, completing all works in all respects as per drawings, specification, other provisions of Contract and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge."

HYDROTESTING OF PRE-FABRICATED SPOOLS "Hydro testing of pipes at various pressures (maximum 140 Kg/Sqcm or as per EIC) with holding period decided by EIC, at designated yard or as directed by EIC. The job includes handling of pipe within work/yard area, making all arrangement for hydro testing like providing end caps & header, welding end caps, welding of headers, pumps etc. and making pipe edges ready by bevelling after completion of test etc. Hydrostatic test shall be performed in accordance with approved Hydrostatic Test Diagrams clearly indicating the number of test sections and minimum and maximum test pressures in each test sections. All such works that are not indicated here below but are otherwise required completing the work in all respects shall form part of Contractor's Scope of Work. Hydrostatic test shall commence only after Clearance from GAIL as per length and section finalised by GAIL. Water quality as per specified standards may be used and additive shall be checked and inspected by GAIL. "

STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK Supplying, transporting, storing, fabricating in position and testing/examining bolted and/or welded STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS at all levels and locations including all builtup sections/compound sections made out of rolled sections and/or plates/bent plates in trusses, purlins, columns, portals, racks, frameworks,bracings, floor beams, lifting beams, platforms, staircases (excluding chequered plates and gratings), ladders, stoppers, brackets, side runners, sagrods, supports for equipment and technological accesories and process piping, hand railings, posts, etc., cutting to required size, straightening/bending if required, edge preparation, cleaning, preheating, bolting/welding of joints, (including sealing the joints of box sections with continuous welding), finishing edges by grinding, fixing in line including preparation and submission of detailed fabrication drawings and applying primer after fabrication as per specification (for normal corrosive environment), etc. all complete (SUPPLY OF ALL MATERIAL IN CONTRACTOR'S SCOPE).

PCC WORK Providing and laying PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE for all depths below and upto plinth level in foundations,drains, fillings, non-suspended floors, pavements & ramps or any other works etc. including shuttering, tamping, ramming, vibrating, curing, shuttering etc. all as specified in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth as specified and directed all complete for concrete of nominal mix 1:4:8 by volume (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand: 8 Crushed Stone Aggregates/Gravels with 40mm and down size graded crushed stone aggregates. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

RCC WORK "Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana / Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Works upto all level Concrete of M30 grade with minimum cement content of 350 kg /cum. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge."

REINFORCEMENT STEEL Supplying and placing in position HIGH STRENGTH DEFORMED STEEL BARS REINFORCEMENT (conforming to Thermo-Mechanically treated bar of Grade Fe 500-D or more), for R.C.C. work including transporting the Steel, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per details, binding with contractor's own 16 SWG black soft annealed binding wire at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, overlaps, welding, spacers, fanhooks etc. for all heights and depths etc. all complete as directed. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

COATING OF UNDERGROUND BURRIED PIPELINE WITH R-95 EPOXY "Supply and application of R-95 eposy coating as per requirements of the relevant specifications, supply of all consumables, utilities, equipment, and all manpower required, pipe cleaning and surface preparation, including all handling, transportation, etc. for line pipes, performing all works necessary for the completion of the works strictly in accordance with the relevant specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. "

COPPER BLASTING AND PAINTING OF PIPES AND STRUCTURES Pipe and structure surface shall be thoroughly cleaned, freed from rust and grease and applied with sufficient coats of corrosion resistant paint. Surface preparation to be carried out by shot blasting to SP-6 in accordance with "Steel Structures Painting Council - Visual Standard SSPC-VIS-1". Supply of all consumables, utilities, equipment and all manpower required for execution of this SOR including all handling, transportation, etc. for line pipes, performing all works necessary for the completion of the works strictly in accordance with the relevant specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.

BACKFILLING AND COMPACTION Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

BRICK MASONRY Providing and laying BRICK MASONRY WITH BRICKS OF CLASS 7.5 in cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Sand) in one or more brick thickness and in any shape (excluding circular/curved brick masonry) at all depths and height including the cost of materials, labour, scaffolding/ staging, sampling & testing, soaking of bricks, cutting and laying of bricks, providing recesses, making openings of any shape & size, finishing the joints flush below ground level and raking out the joints above ground level, sealing the gap between masonry and soffit of beam/slab, embedding the fittings & fixtures, curing, etc. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor including plastering. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

SUPPLY AND LAYING OF STONES AGGREGATE Supplying, stacking and spreading of 90 mm to 45 mm stone aggregate (sommth/round edge) at each terminal for as per quantity instructed by EIC for each station. Supply of all material, manpower, resourses etc. & transportation to the site is in scope of contractor. Complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
