STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS (FABRICATION & ERECTION): Unloading/ loading of materials for transportation, storing, fabricating at B&R's shop outside the plant boundary, transporting fabricated items to site. Fabrication of structural steel for pipe rack, technological structures, circular/ rectangular equipment platforms with ladders, toe-guards, spiral stairway, technological platforms, Hose reel stands, valve operating platforms, floor openings, interconnecting platforms, walkway, cross over, operating platform etc. as per drawing including layout marking, cutting, bending, grinding welding, NDT (if required), inspection, complete in all respect to satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. Erection of fabricated structural items, aligning bolting, field welding, minor modifications/ rectification, torqueing, grouting as per the drawing and the specifications at all levels and at all locations complete in all respects to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. Scope also includes : Farana Crane for Fabrication/Erection,Hard stand for erection, welding machines, all the tools & tackles, machineries, consumables, assembly, steel scaffolding at all location and all elevation, manpower, PPE, supervision, torqueing machine etc. Carrying out welder qualification and follows by B&R's approved WPS/PQR. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of all the above.Trailer for shifting of Structral steel,Crane for erection and Manlifter as required will be provided by B And R. The mode of measurement shall be as follows:The measurement shall be in metric ton of finished structural steel weight as per drawing. Payment for steel work shall be made on the basis of weight of the structure acceptance. The weight of structural steel materials/plates shall be calculated wherever necessary on the basis of IS hand book. If sections are different from I.S. section, then manufacturers hand book shall be adopted. Sections built out of plates shall be paid on the actual weight incorporated. Welds, bolts, nuts, shims, packing plates, washers etc. shall not be measured. Rate of structural steel work shall be deemed to include the same.

Structural steel conforming to IS:2062 Grade E250 B0 / E250 BR as and Jindal section like UB, UC shall be of Grade S275 JR/JO conforming to BS EN 10025 as indicated in design drawing, transporting, storing of rolled up section, square hollow section etc, that will be used to build platforms, ladders, safety chain for ladder, staircases, technological structures, pipe supports, strengthening of steel members etc. Fabrication of Structural Steel Materials into Structural Elements / Modules as defined in the Fabrication / Detailed Drawings. The fabricated member shall be tagged with strip for identification as per fabrication drawing. Inspection and testing.of fabricated item shall be as per approved IITP / QCP Arranging required welders, labour, consumables, tools & tackles, equipment, etc. Loading, unloading, fabrication, intermediate handling and shifting to painting yard and bringing back from painting yard to erection site or godown. Erection of Fabricated Structural Steel Elements such as columns, beams, platforms, ladders, safety chain for ladder, staircases, technological structures, pipe supports, strengthening of steel members etc / Structural Modules in position along with fixing of all type of Connection Bolts (Erection, Hot Dip Galvanised/Non-Galvanised Permanent bolts), supply and placing of shim plates as per Specifications. Scope shall include all activities like Bolting, Welding, Aligning, making necessary alterations caused due to mismatch of Bolt Holes and / or during fabrication, Rate shall also include Torque Tightening of Bolts, supply of shim plates & approved welding electrodes, including making templates, welding, (including sealing the joints of box sections with continuous welding), finishing edges by grinding, cleaning, giving final touches to the welded parts, etc as required complete in all respect. Making necessary arrangement of required labour, equipment, tools & tackles, steel scaffolding, consumables, etc to execute the works at all heights as per drawings and specifications along with all related works in order that the Structure is handed over to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. Note: Rate including supply & welding of MS Nuts for Fire Proofing Works.

Same as item description 14.0, (as described in 14.1) Fabrication and Erection but installing in the existing pipe rack.

GRATINGS : Erecting / fixing in position at all level and all location ELECTROFORGED GALVANISED (Minimum Uniform thickness shall be 120 microns) STEEL ANTISKID GRATING (purchased from approved manufacturer by the contractor) confirming to standard and specification in operating floors, platforms, stair landing, catch basin, drains etc, prefabricated readymade 25 mm thk. electroforged hot dip galvanised MS self colured Gratings (minimum galvanised coating of 900 gm/sq.m) of approved make and any shape/size as per design / drawing / standards with main member of size 25x6 mm flat and secondary member of 8 mm sq.twisted bar respectively having pitch 35x100 mm conforming to standards IS2062 Grade E250B0 / E250BR, ASTM A36 or equivalent,IS2629, IS4759 etc. as per approved make including fixing of hot dip galvanised clamps 25mm wide x 6mm thick, 50x5 thk clamp fixing plate and M8x55 mm long bolts / nuts / washers and including making opening above 10" dia and providing edge protection member of flat 25x6 for openings wherever required, all complete as per design drawings, standards, specification and as directed by Engineer in charge.

HANDRAILING: Fabricating, erecting, cutting, bending, welding, bolting, Galvanized M.S. pipe hand railing of height 1000 mm with top rail , verticals as 32 mm NB (Medium Class) @1500mm c/c & midrail as 32 mm NB (Medium Class) pipes conforming to IS:1239 , including 100 x 6 mm thick toe plate, bends, posts, etc., complete as per design drawings, standards, specification and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Erecting, fixing on RCC pits, Rectangular ditch etc. prefabricated ready made 40 mm thk. Galvanised iron (GI) MS self coloured Gratings (minimum thickness of galvanising shall be 120 micron) of approved make and any shape/size as per design /drawing/standards with main member of size ISA 40x40x6 and secondary member of 35x6 mm flat having pitch 25 mm conforming to standards IS2062 Gr.A, ASTM A36 or equivalent, IS2629, IS4759 etc. as per approved make, all complete as per design drawings,standards , specification and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Installing prefabricated readymade 25 mm thk. electroforged hot dip galvanised MS self colured stair tread with 6 mm thick chequered plate nosing and 2 Nos. of 75 x 6 carrier plate (minimum galvanised coating of 900 gm/sq.m) of approved make and as per design /drawing/standards with main member of size 25x6 mm flat and secondary member of 8 mm sq.twisted bar respectively having pitch 35x75 mm conforming to standards IS2062 Grade E250B0 / E250BR, ASTM A36 or equivalent,IS2629, IS4759 etc. Including fixing of treads on stairs, fixing with clamps/ bolts, complete as per design drawings, standards , specification and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Dismantling of Barricading Steel structures up to any height alongwith adjacent fittings /members by cutting /de-bolting or by any othermeans without damaging the remaining unit and lowering down to the ground ,scaffolding,segregation of all the usable materials The job is inclusive of all required labour, consumables,tools & tackles, machinery & equipment' sand transportation to thestorage point as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge,outside the battery area.

Dismantling of exsitng grating after providing necessary safety handrail araound opening at all height including tools and tackles etc.The contractor shall stack the same at designated place as per engineer in charge.

Dismantling Of Barricadding GI sheet of any height and stacking within refinery area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Dismantling of Above ground PIPING WORKS and stacking the Pipe materails at suitable locations within the Refinery Area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Dismantling of Electrical lighting poles, cable trays, tray supports & Cables etc including stacking of serviceable materials including scrap cables as advised by E-i-C at suitable locations within the Refinery and disposal of un-serviceable materials at suitable locations ouside the Refinery Area.The unit rate shall include getting necessary approval from local municipal authority (NOC) and land owner including all statutory expenses for disposal of debris

Dismantling and removal of under ground (upto 5 M depth) carbon steel pipe by gas cutting or by grinder (after removing coating and wrapping) from various locations including removal material, fittings, flanges, valves, vents, drains, branching etc.; pulling up the same to ground level with due care so that no other piping, equipments, machinerys etc. is damaged and cutting into pieces, if required; segregating for reclaiming useful fittings such as bends, flanges, valves, by unbolting, gas cutting, cold cutting etc.; transporting and stacking the salvageable useful materials to workshop / store or as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge and shifting the scrap pipes etc. to scrap yard or any other location within refinery premises and completing the job as per the instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Job also includes supplying of all types of tools & tackles, lifting arrangements, equipment, machineries, all consumables & labour etc. to complete the work in all respects in a workman like manner including area preparation, taking clearance for hot/cold jobs, blinding and de-blinding, area cleaning after completion of work, flushing wherever required as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note : 1. Carrying out the job is under contractor's scope and the same has to be complied with as per the directions of the Engineer- in-Charge. 2. Civil works (excavation and back filling) for underground dismantling shall be paid under separate item from Civil SOR. 3. Contracor shall get necessary work permit from the refinery authorities prior to the above works

Re-erection of Uninstalled structural steel at any height and location all complete including tools,tackels,consumables etc.to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge.

UG WORKS

FABRICATION AND LAYING OF UNDER GROUND 3LPE COATED CS PIPING 3LPE coated pipe, fabrication including cutting, edge preparation, (inclusive of grinding the edges of pipe, fittings, flanges, etc. to match with the mating edges of uneven / different thickness wherever required); fitup, bending, preheating wherever required, welding of joints, threading, and laying of pipes in trenches of all types and thickness after excavation, concrete , RCC upto the required depth including pipe sleeves, cutting of road wherever required and making good the same, hydrotesting, drying the pipeline with compressed air, application of 3 LPE coat on joint at site, before backfilling the trenches etc. complete as per drawings, specification and instructions of Engineer-in-charge. The rate shall include providing all tools, tackles, machinery, Construction equipments, Steel Scaffolding as per safety norms, all consumables including welding rods, filler materials,Gases for metal cutting ,Grinding & Cutting wheels, erection equipment like crane, instruments, local barricading / welding booths, labour, ancilliaries etc. to complete the work in all respects as per drawings. 3LPE coated pipe shall be free issue material :

FABRICATION OF UNDER GROUND 3LPE COATED CS PIPES ( ASME B31.3 -EFW, Pipes, ASME B36.10, API 5L Gr.B PSL1, Bevelled Ends,External 3LPE coated) including 3LPE coat on joint at site

DYE PENETRATION TEST FOR PIPING WORKS: Performance of dye penetration test including supply of all necessary materials, penetrant, developer etc. along with all equipments, labour, for carrying out the work as per specification & direction of engineer -in-charge at all elevations. Test has to be carried out in all metallurgy the test has to carry out on all schedules of pipes. The rate shall also include Cleaning of joints after DPT

RADIOGRAPHY OF PIPING WORKS : Performance of radiographic inspection on piping of all types & thickness including providing or hiring of all necessary equipment and whatever else even though not expressely mentioned but required to perform the work as per specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-charge. Rates are inclusive of radiography machine, manpower, consumables,Barricading with warning lights,inculding getting required permits etc. and all other equipments required to perform the radiography at all heights to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.Radiographs shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-charge. (Repeat Radiography due to defective radiograph on repaired joints due to Contractor's fault and for additional radiography necessitated due to poor performance of contractor's welders shall be done at contractor's cost. (Film radiagraphy by gamma rays)

MANPOWER SUPPLY: Contractor to provide & mobilise following manpower as per instructions of B AND R Engineer in-charge. However, 2 weeks' notice shall be given for mobilisation and 1 day notice shall be given for demobilisation. Note that quoted rate of manpower deployment shall be inclusive of required PPEs and facilities required for functioning at site. (1 Man-Month should be considered as 30 man-days).
