Renewal of damaged wooden /P.S.C. sleepers by using new wooden/P.S.C. sleepers on straight or curved track within the siding, including removing the damaged wooden/P.S.C. sleepers, transporting and stacking within a lead of 5 kms, inserting the new sleepers fixing with available fittings, etc true to gauge level and alignment and retaining the original ballast profile, etc. as directed. All materials, equipments, tools & plant, labour, etc. complete. Note: 1. Wooden/PSC sleepers will be supplied by the department free of cost 2. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) before the execution of this item.

Renewal of damaged P.S.C. sleepers using new P.S.C. sleepers on level crossings or curved track fixed with check rail along with stock rail including removing the damaged P.S.C. sleepers by cutting the road on Level crossings, removing the debris etc, inserting the new sleepers under the tracks along with checkrails, fixing with fittings etc. in track true to gauge level and alignment including drilling holes in sleepers for fixing the brackets including retaining the original ballast profile, etc. and redoing the road with available loose material etc as directed. All materials, equipments, tools & plant, labour, etc. complete. Note: 1. PSC sleepers will be supplied by the department free of cost 2. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) before execution of this item.

Inserting of cut wooden sleeper of size 60x25x15 cm approx. and transporting and stacking within a lead of 5 kms, inserting the sleepers below the rails and fish plate joint, etc to true gauge level and alignment and retaining the original ballast profile, etc. as directed. All materials, equipments, tools & plant, labour, etc. complete.

Through packing on existing tracks on B.G. straight/ curved tracks with or without checkrails including points and crossings as indicated in Para 233 of IRPW manual with all operations such as opening of the road, examination of rail/sleepers and fastenings, squaring of sleepers, slewing of tracks to correct alignment if required, gauging packing of all types of sleepers, repacking of joint of sleepers, boxing of ballast section to standard parameters as detailed in Para 224 of IRPW manual of 52kg/90R / 60 kg rails of any lead and lift etc. Complete. Lifting sags up to a maximum of 75mm under traffic condition. Unit of Track Running Metre (TRM) will be considered as M. All materials, equipments, tools & plant, labour, etc. complete. (NOTE: Level, gauge & versine are to be taken every four months and reports submitted by contractor to the Department)

Deployment of skilled Keyman - 3 nos. for maintaining BG railway tracks, points and crossings perfect condition including tightening the loose fittings, replacing the missing damaged fittings such as fish bolts & nuts, elastic rail clips, rail screws, M.S. liners, fish plates, rubber pads, etc. and patrolling the tracks regularly for three shifts a day including Sundays and Public holidays (except for attendant) as instructed by the department, lubricating rail joints twice in a year, deploying 2nos. of skilled greaser for lubricating the switch assembly of turnouts using suitable lubricant such as grease. & deployment of 1 no of attendant for attending housekeeping/ stores. Note:1 )The work of lubricating of rail joints shall be taken up under caution order, to be issued by Engineer In charge. 2) All Permanent Way materials and consumables will be issued to the contractor by the department free of cost. 3) Work output generated by Keyman, Greaser and Attendants shall have to be reviewed by Executive Engineer (HR) every week.

Deployment of Attendant 1 x 640 = 640 nos.

Greasing of existing elastic rail clips and sleeve on sleepers protecting from corrosion. Elastic rail clip shall be removed and re-fixed on applying grease for elastic rail clip as well as sleeve. All materials, equipments, tools & plant, labour, etc. complete. This operation has to be carried out twice in a year (pre monsoon and after post monsoon). Grease will be issued by the department free of cost. Note: 1. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) before the execution of above item. 2. Schedule shall have to be prepared of above item before execution

Replacing the fractured rail of the track (up to 13.00 m length) of section 52 kg / 90 R / 60 kg as and when required on straight or curved track including transporting the new rails to the site, cutting the rails to plumb by mechanical means with hacksaw to the required length, drilling of required holes of up to 32mm diameter in proper alignment to accommodate fish bolts, removing the fractured rail by unfastening all fittings and fixing the new rail, joining with fish plates as per standard procedure including leveling, gauging, rough packing aligning and making the tracks fit for traffic use, including transporting the retrieved fractured rail to the departmental railway stack yard, within siding. All labour, tools and plant etc. complete. Note: 1.Rails will be issued by the department free of cost. 2. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (Railway/VSG) before the execution of above item. 3. Unit of Rail will be considered as EA

Maintenance of points & crossings including replacing the damaged components ( 1 in 8 1/2 turnout) as per the items mentioned below including transporting the same to the site including, cutting & drilling, the required no. of holes of up to 32 mm diameter, including transporting and stacking the damaged components to the Railway Maintenance Office /AEN (Rly) stack yard as directed. All labour, equipment, tools and plant complete. NOTE: 1. All Permanent Way materials will be supplied by department free of cost. 2. Screening of ballast after scooping out from the tracks (3.75 m width) mixed with coal/ coke / limestone / earth/ any other foreign material by using sieve /screen of required size including transporting & dumping good ballast in the tracks and transporting & dumping residual material outside the Port area as directed. Removal of jammed elastic rail clips of track by heating, without causing damage the studs of the sleeper including clearing of spillage and ballast around the clips etc. All Labour and Material, Tool and Plant, equipments, LGP, Oxygen cylinder, etc. complete. Slewing of track laterally with 52 kg /90R / 60 kg rail on PSC sleepers including points and crossings on wooden/ concrete sleepers to a new alignment to an extent not more than 30 cms including disconnection if required with packing etc. All labour, tools and plant, equipment, etc. complete. Reconditioning of the distorted rail head tops caused by wheel burns by welding Eutetic-680 S.S arc welding electrodes and grinding to build up the distorted section of the main rail of the track of section 52kg/90R/ 60 kg including transporting all necessary equipments and tools to the site, grinding and roughening of the wheel burn location, filling the wheel burn depressing on the rail with Eutetic-680 S.S arc welding electrodes, grinding to build up distorted section as directed including leveling, gauging, rough packing aligning and making the track fit for traffic use. ii. Reconditioning of 52kg / 60 kg CMS Crossing in situ of 1 in 81/2 turn by welding with approved quality of welding electrode Eutetic-680 Confirming to IRS M-28 as per the specification and instruction laid down in the manual of reconditioning of MM Steel points and crossings, 1996 issued by RDSO, Lucknow. Cleaning the foreign material by suitable means and grinding the rail surface before and after the welding to arrive at the rail profile keeping the CMS crossing in tank filled with water. iii Reconditioning of 52kg / 60 kg Tongue rail in situ of 1 in 81/2 turn by welding with approved quality of welding electrode Eutetic-680 Confirming to IRS M-28 as per the specification and instruction laid down in the manual of reconditioning of MM Steel points and crossings, SEJ’S 1996 issued by RDSO, Lucknow. Cleaning the foreign material by suitable means and grinding the rail surface before and after the welding to arrive the rail profile. All labour & Material, Tools & Plant, lead and lift etc complete Note: 1. Eutectic 680 welding rods will be supplied by the department free of cost. 2. Unit of Half day will be considered as Number. 3. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) before the execution of above item.

Attending to the emergency rectification works of defects observed by patrolling party/ reported upon by user department, etc. during second and third shift. These rectifications include attending to lever and motorized points, rail fracture, barricades repairs, minor accidents, etc. on all days inclusive of Sundays and Public Holidays. NOTE: 1. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) for execution of above item within 24hrs, from informing to contractor. 2. Contractor shall have to mobilize labour within 30minutes on receipt of the telephonic call.

Attending to the emergency rectification works carried out in case of derailments, breaches, accidents, etc. at any time during the 24 hrs of the day including Sundays and Public Holidays. NOTE: 1. Approval shall be taken from Executive Engineer (HR) for execution of above item within 24hrs, from informing to contractor. 2. Contractor shall have to mobilize labour within 30minutes on receipt of the telephonic call.

Weeding of plants, creepers, small trees, grass, etc. by uprooting/ cutting as directed along tracks 2.5 mts. from centre of track on both sides and pruning of all overhead/overhanging tree branches, obstructions up to height of 8.0 mts. from top of rail including loading, unloading transporting & disposing off as directed. All labour & materials tools & plant, equipment, etc. complete. NOTE: 1.Weeding of the specified areas to be maintained throughout the maintenance period. 2. Approval shall be taken from Chief Engineer (HR) before the execution of above item. 3. Part payment will be released three (3) times in a year. 4. Measurements will be based on area where weeding is carried out.

Dismantling of heavy duty paver blocks at Level crossings for carrying out maintenance works of P. way track, including stacking of paver blocks, sand, etc complete and relaying of the paver blocks over sand cushion of 50mm to the required levels and slope, compacting, filling of dry sand in gaps, cleaning the surface, cutting the blocks, cutting of blocks using power operated tools, vibrating the surface with mechanical vibrator etc complete. All tools, plant, labour and material complete.

Removing of Burr formed on the rails, Points and Crossings due to continuously movement on rail by grinding and maintaining the required gauge

Shifting PSC Sleepers of lead approx 5km or as directed by the Chief Engineer or his representative including stacking the material as per standard Railway norms. All tools & plant, labour and material trailer, Crane etc. complete. The shifting of material to be carried out without disturbing rail traffic movement / damaging the PSC sleepers while shifting.

Shifting Rails of length up to 13m approx of lead approx 5km or as directed by the Chief Engineer or his representative including stacking the material as per standard Railway norms. All tools & plant, labour and material trailer, Crane etc. complete. The shifting of material to be carried out without disturbing rail traffic movement / damaging the Rails while shifting.

Shifting of CMS Crossings approx lead of 5km or as directed by the Chief Engineer or his representative including stacking the material as per standard Railway norms. All tools & plant, labour and material trailer, Crane etc. complete. The shifting of material to be carried out without disturbing rail traffic movement / damaging the CMS crossing while shifting.

Replacing of slide chair screws at Motorized points and Lever Points including removal of existing sheared off bolts cased due to centrifugal force, heavy axle loads of rolling and other vagaries of the nature by using tag welding and without causing damage to the plastic dowel. Carrying out gauging and levels at the points etc. All labour & Materials, equipments, Tool, Plant, Welding machinery, etc. complete.
