Background The Regional Strategy For Traditional Medicine In The Western Pacific Region (2011-2020), Endorsed By The Regional Committee For The Western Pacific In 2011, Suggests Five Strategic Objectives To Maximize The Health Potentials Of Traditional Medicine In Achieving Universal Health Coverage. One Of The Five Strategic Objectives Is To Promote The Safe And Effective Use Of Traditional Medicine. It Is Also Aligned With One Of The Strategic Objectives Of The Global Who Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014-2023: To Strengthen The Quality Assurance, Safety, Proper Use, And Effectiveness Of T&cm By Regulating Products, Practices, And Practitioners. Many Member States In The Region Have Already Established A Regulatory System For Traditional Medicines. However, The Implementation Of The Regulation On Traditional Medicines Varies Substantially Across The Member States In The Region. Lack Of Quality And Safety Standards On Traditional Medicines And Limited Technical Capacity To Develop Such Standards And Conduct Laboratory Testing For Quality Control Have Been Highlighted As Key Challenges By Many Member States In The Region.  in 2017, To Support Member States' Efforts In Strengthening The Regulatory System For Medicines And The Health Workforce And Implementation Of It, Wpro Developed The 'western Pacific Regional Action Agenda On Regulatory Strengthening, Convergence And Cooperation For Medicines And The Health Workforce'. It Was Endorsed By The Regional Committee At The 68th Session Of The Regional Committee For The Western Pacific In 2017. The Action Agenda Includes Actions To Strengthen Regulations On Traditional Medicines And Cooperation Among Member States To Support Countries With Limited Resources. Strengthening Safety Standards And Improving Technical Capacity To Implement Them Are Key Actions For It. In Previous Years, With Support From The Ministry Of Food And Drug Safety, Who Wpro Has Supported Capacity Building In Priority Countries, And This Year The Participating Country Will Be The Philippines.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity To Develop An Online Training Platform Using Learning Management System (lms) For 48 Participants.   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Work Will Involve Setting Up An Online Learning Platform For The Quality Assurance For Traditional Medicine Online Course. The Contractual Partner Will Consult With Emt In Carrying Out The Tasks And Will Be Responsible For Regular Technical Maintenance Of The Online Platform From January To February 2021 To Ensure Working Order As Well As Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise. Output/s Output 1: Constructed Online Learning Platform Using Lms Deliverable 1.1: The Lms Should Be Containing The Following Functions: Manage Learners; Deliver And Organize Curriculum; Assess Learners;  Track And Report; Should Be Compatible With The Assistive Technology; Responsive Solution That Scales For Different Screen Resolutions And Devices, Including Tablets And Smartphones; And Functionality Will Need To Work At Minimum On The Following Browsers: Chrome 69, Safari 10, Firefox 52, Internet Explorer 7.0. This Phase Covers Diverse Requirements, For Example Maintenance, Build, Produce And Migration Of Pages As Instructed By Emt.   Methods To Carry Out The Activity The Work Will Involve Setting Up An Online Learning Platform For The Quality Assurance For Traditional Medicine Online Course. The Contractual Partner Will Consult With Emt In Carrying Out The Tasks And Will Be Responsible For Regular Technical Maintenance Of The Online Platform From January To February 2021 To Ensure Working Order As Well As Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.   Qualifications & Experience Education Essential:   Degree On Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Or Other Information Technology Related Courses   Experience Essential: Proven Experience In: Establishing Online Training Platform Using Lms. Desirable: Previous Work With Other International Organizations And/or Major Institutions In The Field Of Health And International Development Is Desirable.   Technical Skills & Knowledge • Demonstrated Experience In Establishing Online Training Platform. • Ability To Work Independently And In Close Collaboration With Who. • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills. • Attention To Detail   Languages Fluent In English (writing, Reading And Speaking)   Competencies • Communicating In A Credible And Effective Way • Teamwork • Technical Expertise • Knowing And Managing Yourself • Producing Results   Additional Information: The Contractor Will Work In Close Collaboration With Dhs/emt.
