Background The Scale Up And Deployment Of Tele Mental Health Is A Strategy That Has Been Applied By Various Countries To Ensure Continuity Of Mental Health Care. A Scoping Review Of Psychosocial And Community Interventions During Covid-19 In The Western Pacific Region Has Revealed Over 100 Different Programs, Initiatives And Projects Provided Remotely Across The Spectrum Of Mhpss Interventions In Emergencies. A Follow-up Regional Symposium On Scalable Digital Psychological Interventions Featuring Policy-makers, Academics And Service Delivery Organizations From Across The Western Pacific Region Highlighted The Breadth Of Innovation And The Opportunities Being Realized In Tele Mental Health Since The Pandemic Began, As Well As The Challenges Arising For Policy-makers And Service Providers In Attempting To Adopt, Implement, Embed And Scale-up Tele Mental Health Interventions Within Existing Systems. Comprehensive Guidance For Addressing These Challenges In The Western Pacific Region Is Not Currently Available. Step-by-step Is An Example Of A Guided Digital Psychological Intervention Targeting Depression, Which Has Been Developed By The Who. It Provides Psychoeducation And Training In Behavioral Activation Through An Illustrated Narrative With Additional Therapeutic Techniques Such As Stress Management, Positive Self-talk And Relapse Prevention. It Is Currently Being Adapted And Trialed For Different Populations In A Number Of Settings In The Western Pacific Region. Early Findings And Learnings From The Process Of Adaptation And Implementation Of Step-by-step To-date Have Been Critical In Helping To Inform The Strategic Direction And Best Practice Principles For Future Implementation And Scale-up Of Not Only Step-by-step But Also Tele Mental Health Interventions More Broadly Across The Full Stepped-care Continuum.   Purpose And Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The mental Health And Substance Use (mhs) Unit Of The World Health Organization Regional Office For The Western Pacific (who Wpro) Seeks To Contract An Individual/company Or Institution To Develop Technical Resources To Support The Development And Implementation Of Tele Mental Health Interventions.   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Company/institution/individual Will Be Expected To: • Develop A Regional Primer For Policy Makers And Program Managers To Guide The Adoption And Implementation Of Tele Mental Health Interventions; And • Adaptation And Implementation Of The Who Step-by-step Digital Psychological Intervention.   Methods To Carry Out The Activity And List Of Outputs Upon Review Of Existing Literature, Guidelines And Resources; Collection Of Best Practices And Guidance; The Draft Regional Primer Will Be Developed, Including Advice On What To Develop For The Design (e.g Icons, Toolbox …). The Work Will Be Done Remotely With Coordination With Wpro Through Email Or Teleconference. Technical Report On Step-by-step Adaptation And Implementation - 15 December 2021   Qualifications & Experience Education • Essential: Postgraduate Degree In Medicine, Public Health Or Social Sciences, Preferably With Prior Experience In Emergency Preparedness And Response, Capacity Building And Policy Development. • Desirable: Postgraduate Training In Mental Health Policy Or Services.   Experience • Experience Working With Governments And Intergovernmental Organizations, Including The World Health Organization, Will Be Considered. • Essential: At Least Seven (7) Years Of Experience In Public Health, Psychology, Emergency Preparedness And Response. • Desirable: Experience With The Un System Or International Organizations, Particularly In Mental Health.   Technical Skills And Knowledge Project Management, Research, Technical Writing, Training Design And Implementation, Monitoring And Evaluation, And Knowledge Of Relevant Global And Regional Tools And Mandates Related To Mental Health In Emergencies.   Languages Written And Spoken Fluency In English (read – Write – Speak / "advanced" Level) Is Essential.
