Background In October 2019, Member States In The Western Pacific Region Endorsed The Framework For Accelerating Action To Fight Antimicrobial Resistance In The Western Pacific Region. One Of Priorities In The Framework Is To Stimulate Political Agility, Which Means The Ability Of Political Leaders And Decision-makers To Use Available Information For Timely Action To Address The Impact Of Amr. This Process Can Be Accelerated By Supporting Proposed Actions With Robust Evidence To Get Ahead Of The So-called Amr Curve, Depicting The Rapid Progression And Increase Of Amr. With This Regard, To Develop Evidence In The Region Which Can Impact Decision And Commitment Of Policy Maker Is Of Importance. Wpro Is Planning To Host High-level, Preferably Ministerial Level, Political Dialogue To Stimulate Political Agility, By Introducing Two New Documents On Amr. One Is About Emerging Issues On Amr In The Western Pacific Region And The Other On Estimating The Amr Disease Burden In Western Pacific Region In The Next 10 Years. There Are Many Anticipated Emerging Issues On Amr To Which Who And Member States Needs To Realize The Importance And Act Early; Such As Preventive Measures Including Vaccine; Contamination Of The Environment Through Antibiotic Residues, Antimicrobial Resistance Genes And Antimicrobial-resistant Microorganisms From Pharmaceutical, Hospital And Municipal Waste; Not Only Antibiotics As Growth Promoter Among Feed Animals But Antibiotics For Fish And Pet; How Innovations In Diagnostic Will Change Diagnostic Stewardship And Impact Clinical Practice; How Dynamic Change In Rapidly Aging Societies In Some Of The Member States Affect Amr; Just To Raise Some Examples. This Document On Emerging Issues On Amr In The Western Pacific Region Will Be Used To Stimulate Political Agility By Introducing Emerging Issues Of Significance And Research Priorities, As Well As Recommendations For Who And Member States In The Region.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity - To Develop A Document Which Identifies The Emerging Issues On Amr In Wpr In The Near Future And Prioritizes Each Emerging Issue Based On Their Importance To Which Who And The Member States Need To Respond In Advance To Minimize Their Impact On Human Health. - To Develop Recommendations And Research Priorities For Who/wpro And To The Member States In Wpr How To Respond To These Emerging Issues.   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out Under The Supervision Of Dhs/emt, The Contractual Partner Will Deliver The Following Outputs: Output/s Output 1: A Document Which Identifies The Emerging Issues On Amr In Wpr In The Near Future And Prioritizes Each Emerging Issue Based On Their Importance To Which Who And The Member States Need To Respond In Advance To Minimize Their Impact On Human Health. Output 2: Research Priorities And Recommendations For Who/wpro And To The Member States In Wpr How To Respond To These Emerging Issues.   Methods To Carry Out The Activity Methodologies To Develop The Document: Deliverable #1: To Develop Methodology Using Delphi Method To Identify Emerging Issues On Amr In Wpr Throughout The Entire Process Of Developing A Document To Employ Delphi Method To Identify Emerging Issues Among The Group Of Experts (email Consultations). Identification Of Experts Will Be Done By Who. Deliverable #2: Support Emt/dhs/wpro To Convene Face To Face Expert Consultation Using Delphi Method To Affirm Emerging Issues And Research Priorities Which Have Been Gathered From The First Email Discussion Among A Group Of Experts And Develop A Meeting Report Deliverable #3: Develop A Draft Report With Supervision From Emt/dhs Which Includes Emerging Issues In Amr In The Western Pacific And Their Priorities And Research Priorities. Have A Group Of Experts To Review The Report And Finalize A Report   Qualifications & Experience Education Essential:   University Degree In Medicine Or Post Graduate Degree In Infectious Diseases, Public Health, Epidemiology Or Related Field.   Experience Essential: At Least 5 (five) Years Of Relevant Experience In Antimicrobial Resistance.
