Background The Expanded Role Of Uhc In Driving The For The Future Vision Is Front And Centre In The New Societal, Political, Economic And Health Realities In Countries. While Many Member States Are Focused On Covid-19 Response In Short Term, It Is Imperative Not To Forget That Uhc As Foundation Of Health System Transformation Will Be A Central Enabler For Societies And Economies To Bounce Back. The Fourth Uhc Tag Meeting (august 2020) Posited Concrete Recommendations For Who And Ms To Support The Realization Of Uhc In Countries. They Underscore The Need For Unified Actions To Recommit To Uhc As The Basis For Overcoming Complex Challenges Of The Present And Addressing Future Threats. This Includes Broadening Participatory Uhc Governance Within And Beyond The Health Sector, Building Multisectoral Collaboration. With Uhc As The Platform In Joining Up All Health Programmes, Realizing The Uhc Tag Recommendations Requires Strengthening Collaboration Among Wpro Divisions And Country Offices To Contextualize Support To Ms. Altogether, With Political Commitment And Technical Engagement, The Regional Office, Country Offices, Tag Members, And Ms Governments Can Jointly Translate Our Uhc Aspirations Into Tangible Actions Of Systems Transformation With Uhc As A Foundation And Engine.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity The Universal Health Coverage (uhc) Team Under The Data, Strategy And Innovation Group Seeks To Engage A Consultant To Provide Technical Support And Input To The Teams Works In The Area Of Knowledge Sharing And Uhc Activities In Relation To  Implementing The Vision For Universal Health Coverage And The For The Future Vision Of The Western Pacific Region Being The Healthiest And Safest.    Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Work Will Be Performed At The Regional Office Under The Direct Supervision Of The Coordinator, Universal Health Coverage. Output 1: Technical Assistance In Rolling-out The Uhc Team Work-program Aiming To Increase Uhc Commitment Within And Beyond Health Sector In Countries Deliverable 1.1: Technical Support In The Preparation Of Concepts, Agenda, Ppt And Others To The Team During The Strategic Discussion To Progress Uhc Through Coordinated Efforts And Complementary Activities ; Deliverable 1.2: Provide Technical Inputs To The Develop Action Plan That Support The Team’s Capacity To Engage With Stakeholders To Build Collective Commitment And Collaboration For Uhc At Country Level; And Deliverable 1.3: Support The Uhc Team's Internal And External Advocacy Work  Such As (consultative Division And Co Meeting, Regional Meeting, Technical Deep Dives Etc) On Adapting Strategic Approaches And To Increase Collective Commitment To Uhc In The ‘uhc Advocate’ Countries Across The Region Output 2: Technical Support On The Preparation  Of The Uhc Forum And Uhc Advocate Countries Deliverable 2.1: Draft Technical Documents, Meeting Materials, Presentations, Briefs And Reports; And Deliverable: 2.2: Provide Input And Help To Design The Uhc Forum And The Mechanism In Conducting The Forum Output 3: Technical Support To Advance Contemporary And Innovative Knowledge Management Initiatives Increase The Visibility Of Uhc And Technical Support On Fifth Uhc Tag 2021 Deliverable 3.1: Technical Support And Inputs To The Teams To Work With The Knowledge Sharing Initiative (ksi) Focal Points In The Regional Office  Such As Drafting Ppt Slides, Technical Paper, Concepts And Monitor The Agreed Action Points To Move The Ksi Work Of The Region Forward Deliverable 3.2: Support The Uhc Team To Organize The Wpro Uhc Thematic Webinar Series And Developing Uhc Flash Newsletters, Such As Drafting Technical Documents For The Webinars And Uhc Flash, Presentations, Briefs And Reports. Deliverable 3.3: Provide Technical Inputs And Support On The Ksi Works In The Advocacy And Development Of The Thematic Sharepoint By Mapping Out Wpro Relevant Publication, Materials And Stories That Can Be Featured In Every Unit/team/divisions Sharepoint Page  And Uhc Country Catalogue That Will House All Relevant Literature Review, Policy Documentation, Publication And Updates By All Wpro Member States Deliverable 3.4: Technical Support To The Strategic Communication In The Uhc Area, Such As Developing And Implementing The Communication Plan In Uhc Area And Convening Uhc Day Activities.   Qualifications & Experience Education:          University Degree In Public Health, Social Science, Sciences Or Other Relevant Degree Post Graduate Degree Will Be An Advantage. Experience: • At Least Five Years Of Experience In Positions In Public Health And/or Health Research Including Some Experience Within An International Context. • Experience In Conducting Qualitative Research In Variety Of Cultural Contexts. • Experience In Project Coordination And Policy Development. • Training In Health Programme Development, Social Sciences, Health Research/statistics, Policy Development/management At National Or International Level. Technical Skills And Knowledge: • Excellent In Report Writing And Data Analysis • Good Communication Skills (oral And Written) • Ability To Complete The Tasks In The Given Time Frame  Languages: Excellent Knowledge Of Spoken And Written English Is Essential Competencies: • Communication • Planning • organizing • Teamwork   Additional Information: • The Consultant Is Expected To Perform His/her Work At The Regional Office Of Who In The Western Pacific, Manila, Philippines.  The Selected Consultant Will Be Expected To Provide A Medical Certificate Of Fitness For Work. • The Consultant Is Expected To Travel For The Purposes Of Their Entry On Duty.
