Background Dsi Has Been Tasked To Lead Some Special Projects Which Aim About The Future Direction Of The Organization And Strengthening Who’s Leadership Role In The Western Pacific Region. Review Of “for The Future”: The Document, For The Future: Towards The Healthiest And Safest Region, Sets Out Thematic Priorities For Who Work In The Western Pacific Region For The Next Five Years, As Well As A Series Of Ideas For Collectively Responding To Current And Future Health Challenges. It Was Developed Following Extensive Consultations With Member States, Partners And Who Staff In The Western Pacific Region Between April And October 2019. The Shared Vision Articulated In This Document Is Simple: Acting Today To Address The Challenges Of Tomorrow, With The Goal Of Making The Western Pacific Region The Healthiest And Safest Region. This Is Essentially A Form Of Exercise To Take A Step Back From Day To Day And Taking Forward The “for The Future” Document, Not Only In Preparation For The Rcm But Also Towards Assessing, Reconfirming And Acceleration Of Significant Activities And Our Future Direction. The Young Professional Programme, Set Up In September 2020, To Experimentally Create New Ways Of Working To Address The Needs Of Our Member States Through Problem Solving, Creating Opportunities And Meeting Expectations. There’s Been A Success To It Few Months Later And Is Moving Forward To Recruiting The Best Talents To Delivering These Needs, Implementing The Hypothesis-driven Approach And Creating A Working Environment That Prioritizes Problem Solving. Dsi/age Is Responsible For The Administration Of The Programme Until It Hands It Over To Dpmo After The Next Contracts (in July-august). Implementation Of Regional Action Plan On Healthy Ageing: As Part Of New Ways Of Working To Address Future Challenges From The “for The Future,” Population Ageing Creates Opportunities For People To Live Not Only Long, But Also Healthy, Productive And Happy Lives. This Marks Healthy Ageing As One Of The Four Priorities In The Region. The Regional Action Plan On Healthy Ageing In The Western Pacific, Developed After Extensive Consultation With Member States, Aims To Support Older People Who Are Healthy, Thriving And Contributing In Society. It Advocates A Whole-of-society Transformation, Beyond Health Systems. Adding Years To Life Can Offer Individuals And Society New Opportunities, But Only If Society Encourages And Enables Older People To Remain Healthy And To Continue Participating And Thriving Expected Outputs: Output 1: Support The Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities of The Regional Committee Meeting (rcm) Mid-term Review Of “for The Future” Which Is Scheduled In October 2021. Output 2: Support The Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities for The Regional Meeting On Healthy Ageing In Western Pacific, Themed: “preparation For The Ageing Society” Which Is Scheduled In January Or February 2022 Output 3: Assist The Healthy Ageing Coordinator In Its Ad Hoc Assignments On Way Forwards Like Young Professionals Programme.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity Purpose: To Support The Healthy Ageing Unit And Special Projects Towards The Future Direction Of The Organization And Strengthening Who’s Leadership Role In The Western Pacific Region. Strategic Objectives: Under The Guidance Of The Coordinator, Healthy Ageing (age) And Director, Data, Strategy And Innovation (dsi), The Incumbent Shall Assist In Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities for The (1) Regional Committee Meeting (rcm) Mid-term Review Of “for The Future,” Scheduled In October 2021, With Designated Task Force; (2) The Regional Meeting On Healthy Ageing In Western Pacific, Themed: “preparation For The Ageing Society” Which Is Scheduled In January Or February 2022; And (3) Other Age And Dsi Designated Activities Such As Young Professionals.   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out Output 1: Support The Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities of The Regional Committee Meeting (rcm) Mid-term Review Of “for The Future” Which Is Scheduled In October 2021. Deliverable 1.1: Assist In Coordination Of Publication Process For New Information Products For Rcm Midterm Review Of “for The Future”, Including Assisting The Stocktaking Task Force Liaising With Suppliers (graphic/lay-out Artists, Technical Writers/editors, Proofreaders, Printing Companies) And Support Communication Activities Such As Preparations Of Brochures And Other Information Materials; Deliverable 1.2: Support And Organize Meetings Including Logistics And Ensure Required Facilities Are Available And Ready For The Events; Output 2: Support The Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities for The Regional Meeting On Healthy Ageing In Western Pacific, Themed: “preparation For The Ageing Society” Which Is Scheduled In January Or February 2022 Deliverable 2.1: Assist In The Planning, Preparation Of Documentations And Meeting Invitations While Ensuring Wpro Protocols And Practices And Style Guides Are In Place; Deliverable 2.2: Support And Organize Meetings Including Logistics, Preparation Of Guidance Documents And On-site Support During The Meeting; Deliverable 2.3: Assist In All External Communications Related To The Meeting In Terms Of Proofreading Before Sending Out To The Participants; And Output 3: Assist The Healthy Ageing Coordinator In Its Ad Hoc Assignments On Way Forwards Like Young Professionals Programme.
