Overview The Covid-19 Pandemic Has Caused Unprecedented Health Impact And Social And Economic Disruptions.governments Have Implemented Drastic Measures To Control Spread And Will Be Lifting And Reinstating Public Health And Social Measures With Difficult Decisions To Balance Socio-economic Needs While Ensuring That Successive Waves Of The Covid-19 Epidemics Do Not Overwhelm The Health Systems. Ministries Of Health In Many Countries Need A More Comprehensive Awareness Of The Current Measures And Their Impact, And Further Development Of A Disease Surveillance Plan To Guide Future Decision-making. This Requires Surveillance Of Disease Incidence And Spread And Monitoring Of Health Systems Status, Public Health Capabilities, And Community Adherence To Public Health Measures. Since The Pandemic Started, The Division For Data, Strategy And Innovation Has Engaged Mathematical Modelling To Address Support Needs Of Member States For Covid-19 Burden Estimates And Projections And Building A Risk Assessment And Mitigation Strategies Including Vaccination For Various Levels Of Transmission. Wpro Seeks To Continue Applying The Covid-19 And Infectious Disease Modelling To Increase Understanding Of The Covid-19 Epidemic In The Region And Better Inform Member States’ Decision Making. The Modelling Support Will Be Required To Address The Policy Questions Around Different Measures To Implement Or Relax, In The Context Of The Local Socio-demographics And Policies And Practices Of Member States And Updated To The Circulating Variants. Support And Trainings Will Also Be Needed To Guide Users Of The Modelling On How To Interpret Modelling Results And Apply To Inform The Preparations Needed With The Health Systems And The Use Of Public Health Measures   Objective Of The Rfp Who Requires The Successful Bidder, The Contractor, To Provide Modelling Support For Updating Estimates And Projections With Changing Scenarios As Requested By The Governments Of Malaysia And The Philippines. Specifically, To Provide Seir Models And Continually Update Model Components Addressing Circulating Variants And Evolving Epidemiological Situation, And To Develop A Capacity Development Plan Including Knowledge Transfer And Training For the Moh And Their Partners To Undertake Their Own Epidemiological Modelling For Covid-19to Support Who In The Identification, Assessment Sharing And Scale-up Of Relevant Innovation Approaches In Health Through Coordination And Organization Of Innovation Partnerships And Events.   Key Requirements Work Directly With Modellers From The Malaysia Ministry Of Health And The Philippines Department Of Health And Their Partners To Routinely Update Covid-19 Models With Current Epidemic Situation, Including Variants Of Concerns, And Simulate Scenarios For Decisions On Public Health And Social Measures To The Government Of For Decision-making.
