Technical Assistance For Developing A National Strategic Plan On Health Promotion In Papua New Guinea & The Purpose Of This Contract Is For An Overseas Technical Institution To Undertake A Country Situation Analysis, Facilitate A National Workshop And Develop A Draft National Strategic Plan On Health Promotion In Papua New Guinea (png). Papua New Guinea Faces Significant Health Challenges, Including High Rates Of Infectious Diseases Such As Tuberculosis And Malaria, And A Growing Burden Of Non-communicable Diseases. The Healthcare System Struggles With Limited Resources, Inadequate Infrastructure, And A Shortage Of Trained Healthcare Professionals. A Large Portion Of The Current Burden Of Diseases In Png, Is Either Preventable Or Can Be Minimized By Enhanced Health Promotion And Prevention Activities. A Need For A Paradigm Shifts From A Predominant Focus On Curative To More Promotion And Preventative Health Is Needed And To Be Supported At All Levels Of The Health System.
