Background The Who Western Pacific Regional Committee Adopted The Regional Action Plan On Healthy Ageing In October 2020. It Aims To Support All Member States In The Western Pacific Region To Achieve The Vision For Healthy Ageing, As Outlined In The Regional Action Plan.[1] In Order To Achieve The Vision, It Is Essential To Promote Health Behavior Change Across Different Stages Of Life And Generate Attention To The Projects/policies For Healthy Ageing. One Of The Powerful Tools Is “nudge”. Nudging Is Increasingly Used Worldwide By Public Sectors To Implement Policies More Effectively. Nudge Has The Potential To Prompt Citizens To Take Up Existing Good Practices. Nudge Enables Options/behaviours Promoting Better Health Outcomes To Be The Default Choice. Considering This Versatile Application Of Nudge, Countries With Various Policy Backgrounds Can Utilize It For Healthy Ageing. Although There Are Many Academic Discussions On The Implementation Of Nudges, Hands-on Training Opportunities For Practitioners In The Early Stages Are Not Sufficient In The Western Pacific Region. Thus, We Seek A Team With Expertise Designing Nudge To Translate And Simplify Academic Frameworks Into Actionable Local Interventions. During The Who-kanagawa Workshop On Healthy Ageing In February 2021, Yokohama City, Japan, Presented A Presentation On Nudging And Healthy Ageing. Participants Expressed Interest In Learning More About The Case Studies Of Nudge In Healthy Ageing From Japan. Japan Is The Most Aged Society In The World, And There Are Many Practical Applications Of This Concept. We Would Like To Seek Application From The Organization/individuals That Can Summarize, Share And Facilitate The Discussions On Lessons From Japan And Other Ageing Societies On The Use Of Nudging.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity Under The Direct Supervision Of The Age Team In Who Western Pacific Regional Office (who/wpro), The Work Aims To Support The Member States In Creating An Age-friendly Society And Environment By Utilizing Nudge. The Work Will Aim To Create Opportunities For Knowledge And Experience Sharing On Designing And Embedding Nudges In Our Environment Based On Behavioural Analysis. This Work Promotes Collaboration With Local Stakeholders, Including Local Policymakers, Staff At Ministry Of Health And Other Relevant Ministries, Starting With Building Capacity To Design And Problem Solve Together.   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out With Technical Support From Age Team In Who Wpro, Output 1: Assess Nudge Situation In Japan And Other Countries, Prepare Requirements/ Gather Information And Conduct Online Activities Every Three Months (in Total, 3-4 Workshops) Until March 2022 Deliverable 1.1: Situational Analysis Report To Age/dsi And External Partner By December 2021 Deliverable 1.2: Preparation For The Series Of Practical Nudge Workshops (knowledge Sharing And Design Workshops) By December 2021. Deliverable 1.3: Conduct Online Workshops At Least Twice By December 2021 And The 3rd One By March 2022. Output 2: Individually Support Implementation Of Nudge Projects And/or Establishment Of Nudge Unit Upon Request Of Age/dsi And/or Who Member States And/or Who Country Office. Deliverable 2.1: Open Communication Opportunities (virtually And In Person If Situation Permits) Upon Request From September 2020 To March 2022 Deliverable 2.2 Prepare And Conduct Additional Sessions To Complement The Output 1 To Support Actions In Fields Upon Request By March 2022 Output 3: Compile And Provide Final And Financial Technical Report On Outcomes From Online Workshops And Produce A Report On Case Studies On Nudge For Healthy Ageing By March 2022 Deliverable 3.1 Write Up, Publish And Submit A Report To Age/dsi And Member States’ Counterpart On Nudge Design And Implementation, And Relevant Case Studies Deliverable 3.2 Write Up Recommended Next Steps For Age/dsi And Member States   Methods To Carry Out The Activity • Interaction With Relevant Who/wpro Staff To Ensure That Coordination Of Activities Is In Place • Deliver Creative And Practical Workshops • Support The Local Projects In Early Stages And Capacity Building If Needed • Seek Good Case Studies On Nudge For Healthy Ageing, And Summarize Those   Qualifications & Experience Education A Degree In Social Science And/or Public Health Or Communication Or In Any Similar Field.   Experience Essential: 3-5 Years’ Experience In Activities On Nudging Is Required.
