The required prior work experience for the bidder includes substantially completed work or completed work. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For Joint Ventures (JV), each non-lead member of the JV must have satisfactorily completed or substantially completed during the last 07 years, one similar single work for a minimum of 10% of the advertised value of the tender. A substantially completed work means an ongoing work in which payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The credential certificate for substantially completed work should have been issued not prior to 60 days of the date of invitation of the present tender. In case of subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor shall be asked for. The values and percentages mentioned include: - 30% of the advertised value of the tender for three similar works - 40% of the advertised value of the tender for two similar works - 60% of the advertised value of the tender for one similar work - 10% of the advertised value of the tender for each non-lead member of the JV - 90% of the present contract value for substantially completed work - 35% value of work to be subletted for subletting of work - Rs 50 lakh as the advertised value for tenders that do not require technical and financial credentials.
