The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - For construction work: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 10 years in construction, with 3 years experience in road works. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. - C. Others (Specify): Supervisor, Science Graduate, with 3 years experience and 4 years experience respectively. - For routine maintenance: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. No specific information is available on the value and percentage of similar works completed. However, the bidder must have completed works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In the last five years, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, with at least 50% of which is from Civil Engineering construction works, equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs or less, - 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs, with the turnover indexed at the rate of 8% per year. For subcontracting, the bidder can propose subcontracting of components of the works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the contract price.
