The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - For construction work: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 10 years in construction, with 3 years experience in road works. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. - C. Others (Specify): Supervisor, Science Graduate, with 3 years experience and 4 years experience respectively. - For routine maintenance: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In the last five years, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, with at least 50% of which being from Civil Engineering construction works, equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs or less, - 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs. However, in Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder can subcontract components of the works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the contract price. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, but the bidder should provide details of work performed as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years.
