The required prior work experience for the bidder varies depending on the category. For construction work, the experience required is as follows: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 10 years in construction, with 3 years road experience. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience. - C. Others (Specify): 3 years experience for Supervisor, 4 years experience for Science Graduate. For routine maintenance: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years road experience. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years road experience. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement. The bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, equivalent to 60% of the amount put to bid if the amount is Rs.200 lakhs or less, or 75% of the amount put to bid if it is more than Rs.200 lakhs. In Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder's financial turnover from civil engineering construction works should be at least 50% of their total turnover. The bidder's prior work experience in the last five years is also considered, with specific requirements for the value of similar works completed. In case of a Joint Venture, the lead partner should meet not less than 50% of the qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners should meet not less than 25% of the criteria. The amount and deductible for insurance are mentioned as 1% of the estimated cost of construction put to tender. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have achieved, in any one year, a minimum financial turnover equivalent to a specified amount, with at least 50% of which being from Civil Engineering construction works. The bidder should also provide details of works in progress or contractually committed, with certificates from the concerned officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent. The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor or sub-contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should provide a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge with details such as project name, name of employer, description of work, value of contract, contract number, date of issue of work order, stipulated date of completion, actual date of completion, and remarks explaining reasons for delay, if any. The bidder should also provide information on their bid capacity, including existing commitments and on-going construction works. The bidder should provide financial reports for the last five years, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and auditors' reports. The bidder should submit a certificate from a Chartered Accountant for the last five financial years, showing the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received. The bidder can quote a percentage above/below/at par of the schedule of rates specified in the Appendix to ITB, using the Percentage Rate Method. Alternatively, the bidder can use the Item Rate Method, where they quote rates and prices for all items of the Works described in the Bill of Quantities. The bidder is required to submit information on the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years, with values stated in Rs. In lakhs. The years mentioned are 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024.
