The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience of having successfully completed similar nature of work, such as construction of hydraulic/civil structures/major civil works in hydro-electric project/Irrigation project. The bidder can meet this requirement in one of three ways: 1. Three similar completed works, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, with at least one of them being a "Construction of concrete barrage/concrete dam & its appurtenant works". 2. Two similar completed works, each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, with at least one of them being a "Construction of concrete barrage/concrete dam & its appurtenant works". 3. One similar completed work of "Concrete barrage/concrete dam & its appurtenant works" costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost of the bid. An escalation factor of 5% per year shall be applied to arrive at the intrinsic present value of the work. The bidder should provide experience certificates in support of past experience and establish the 'similar nature of work'. The bidder must have completed works with a total monetary value for each of the last seven financial years. However, no specific detailed monetary values are mentioned, but the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last seven years is used to calculate the bidding capacity. One substantially completed work of more than 90% physical and financial completion shall be allowed for technical eligibility criteria. The bidder should provide details of works in progress or contractually committed, along with certificates from the concerned officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent.
