The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature for each of the last five years. The experience should be supported by certificates from the concerned officer of the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent. To qualify for the award of the contract, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid has been invited, in any one year in the last five years. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8 percent for a year. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. Additionally, the bidder's technical personnel should have the following experience: - A degree holder in civil engineering should have a minimum of 2 years of experience. - A diploma holder in civil engineering should have a minimum of 2 years of experience. - A quality assurance engineer should have a minimum of 2 years of experience. The bidder should also provide a proposal for subcontracting the components of the works for construction/upgradation, aggregating not more than 25% of the contract price. The bidder should have access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources/facilities, certified by a banker, of at least 10 percent of the contract value. The bidder should provide information on the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years, with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant. The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in works of a similar nature for each of the last five years, with a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works, and completion of at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work. The percentage of similar works completed is one-third of the estimated cost of work, and the subcontracting components of the works should not exceed 25% of the contract price. The bidder should have access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources/facilities of at least 10 percent of the contract value.
