The required prior work experience for the bidder includes the completion of similar nature of works. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of package value excluding maintenance cost. For packages more than 200 Lakh, the bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least 75% of the package value. For packages up to Rs.200.00 Lakh, the bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least 60% of the package value, excluding maintenance cost. In Naxal / LWE affected districts, the percentages are relaxed to 60% for packages more than 200 Lakh and 50% for packages up to Rs.200.00 Lakh. The bidder needs to submit a certificate of similar nature of works executed, issued by an Executive Engineer. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed as a prime contractor at least one similar work of value equal to the required value of the last five years. At least 50% of the annual turnover should be from Civil Engineering construction works. The bidder should submit a certificate of work experience of similar nature work equal to the required value of the last five years, with details including the date of start, due date of completion, actual date of completion, actual value of final payment, contract bond number, and amount of contract bond. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In terms of financial turnover, the bidder should have achieved in any one year, a minimum financial turnover equivalent to 60% of the amount put to bid (if the amount put to bid is Rs. 200 lakhs and less) or 75% of the amount put to bid (if the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs). In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%.
