Unmas In Mali Is Calling For Proposals From International Non-governmental Organizations (ingos) With A Proven Track Record In Developing The Technical Capacity And Organizational Strength Of Nngos. In The Proposal, The Applicant Will Clearly Explain What Measures It Will Take To Prepare And Support A National Partner Through A Supported Development Plan, Which Results In The Successful Development Of Nngos Into Capable Humanitarian Mine Action Actors With The Technical, Organisational And Project Management Capacity To Operate And Implement Activities In Their Own Right. In Doing So, These Projects Will Contribute To Unmas Mali’s Strategic Plan, As Outlined Below. The Desired ‘end State’ At The 2 Year Point Is That The Partnered Nngo(s) Can Effectively And Independently Conduct Explosive Ordnance Victim Assistance Activities (va) And Emergency Risk Education, In A Sustainable And Inclusive Manner. Impact: The Population In Mali Is Safer And More Secure As A Result Of The Reduced Threat Posed By Explosive Ordnance. Outcomes: National Authorities Have The Capacity To Lead And Manage The Mine Action Response, Which Is Implemented Through Civil Society. Outcome Indicators: Increase The Number Of National Ngos With Mine Action Capacity Who Are Independently Deployed. It Is Expected From The Applicant To Design Outputs And Related Indicators And Targets That Will Lead To The Achievement Of  These Outcome And Impact. The Selected Grantee(s) Will Be Expected To Have Exclusive Control Over The Achievement Of The Project Outputs They Formulate To Contribute To The Above Outcomes, Although Aspects Of The Quality And Progress Of The Grant Implementation Shall Be Subject To Review By Unmas Mali.
