Service Areas Covered Include Special Educational Needs And Social Care Transport For People With Specialist Behavioural And Physical Requirements. In Addition, Some Specialist Vehicles Are Required To Be Fitted With Tail Lifts And Wheelchair Anchorage Points. Description: Newport City Council (ncc) Is Inviting Tenders Initially On Behalf Of Newport City Council, Monmouthshire County Council (mcc) And Torfaen County Borough Council (tcbc) From Suitably Licenced And Experienced Contractors To Join The Existing Dynamic Purchasing System (dps) For The Provision Of Passenger Transport Services As Detailed In The Tender Documents; These Services Being For Taxi, Minibus, Coach And Local Bus Service Provision. The Dps Is Utilised Mainly To Secure Transport For Transporting Children To And From School, For Transporting Children And Adults Within The Social Care System, And For Securing Local Bus Services For The Public.

the Passenger Transport Dps Covers Three Areas Of Need Across The Council, Including Home To School Transport For Send Children, Ad Hoc And Scheduled Taxi Services For Children And Adults Under The Children And Families (cfs) And Adult Social Care (asc) Departments, Plus Mini Bus And Coach Hire Services For Ad Hoc Journeys Within Hackney Education. The Categories Are: 

category 1 - Home To School Transport For Send Children And Young People (with And Without The Passenger Assistant Requirement) - Minibuses, People Carriers And/ Or Taxis.
category 2 - Ad-hoc Journeys (may Include Some Repeat Bookings) For Service Users To Meet Assessed Need (with And Without The Passenger Assistant Requirement).
category 3 - Minibus And Coach Hire Services For Ad-hoc Journeys.
