The bid capacity required in the given tender can be represented as: Available Bid Capacity ≥ Evaluated Bid Price Additionally, the bid capacity required includes: - Evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities: minimum 20% of Estimated Cost, certified by the bankers. - Undertaking that bidder would be able to invest a minimum of cost up to 25% of the contract value of work, during implementation of contract. - 10% of the bid amount for subcontracting of elements of work. Formulas for calculating the bid capacity are: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A*N*2-B) where A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the price level of the year indicated in Appendix) taking into account the completed as well as works in progress. N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited. B = Value (updated to the price level of the year indicated in Appendix) of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the next 21/12 Years (period of completion of the works for which bids are invited) Available bid capacity = (Value of works completed in the last 5 years + Value of ongoing works) - (Value of works remaining to be completed)
