The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. These categories are: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. The bidder must also have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or 'V' whichever is less; where V= Advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N= Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. Similar nature of work includes: 1. Retrofitment of Berths and seats in passenger coaches or departmental coaches. 2. Conversion or Rehabilitation or Furnishing of passenger coaches 3. Supply of new berths/seats/chairs etc. to Coach production/manufacturing units of any PU or zonal railways. The average annual contractual turnover shall be calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. However, specific information on the value of similar works completed is related to the percentage of the advertised value of the tender, which includes 30%, 40%, and 60%.
