The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed civil engineering works with a maximum value executed in any one year during the last five financial years. The value will be updated to the price level of the preceding financial year in which bids are invited. For similar works completed, the bidder must have satisfactorily completed as a prime contractor or subcontractor at least one similar work of a value not less than 25% of the amount put to bid. Additionally, the bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five financial years. In the case of Joint Venture (JV) firms, the lead partner must meet not less than 50% of the qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners must meet not less than 25% of all the qualifying criteria. The JV must collectively satisfy the requirements of the criteria, with the relevant figures for each partner added together to arrive at the Joint Venture total capacity, which shall be 100% or more. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the amount put to bid, as certified by a chartered accountant, and at least 50% of which is from civil engineering construction works.
