Rural Works Department Tender

The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. To qualify for the award of the contract, each bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one work of similar nature of value not less than 50% of the estimated value of work tendered in the last five years preceding the year in which the tender is invited. The completion should be not less than 90% as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer. Additionally, for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr, the bidder should have completed similar nature of works and should have details of work in hand and bids already submitted. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated value of work tendered, applicable for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr. The specific details of prior work experience required are as follows: - For tender amount more than 0.5 cr and up to 2.5 cr, the Project Manager should have a qualification of B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engg. - For tender amount more than 2.5 cr and up to 5 cr, and for more than 5 cr, the experience in years for the Project Manager is not specified. The value and percentage of similar works completed are: - Value: not less than 50% of the estimated value of work tendered - Percentage: not less than 90% as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer - Annual financial turnover: 60% of the estimated value of work tendered for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr.
