To qualify for the award of the contract, each bidder should have, in the last three years, achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 188.51 Lac in civil engineering construction works. They should have also satisfactorily completed civil engineering work of a similar nature, with a value of not less than 50% of the contract value. The civil work value should be not less than the amount indicated in the Appendix, usually not less than 50% of the estimated value of the contract in the last three years. The available bid capacity for construction work is calculated using a formula that considers the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. This calculation indirectly evaluates the bidder's experience. Experience in civil engineering works of a similar nature completed during the last three financial years is required, with a certificate issued by a Government/Semi Government department being the only valid proof. A minimum of 50% of the contract value for similar works completed is specified.
