The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed works of a similar nature, with specific requirements varying depending on the project. For certain projects, the bidder should have experience of similar works completed, with a value of up to INR 50 Cr. They should have completed at least one similar work of a value of 90% or more of the original contract price, and the percentage of similar works completed should be 90% or more. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years. They should have successfully completed or substantially completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, and continuing satisfactorily. The value and percentage of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract, and the works should be substantially completed (at least 90% completed). The gross value of work done up to the last date of submission is 90% or more of the original contract price. The lead partner in a joint venture must meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria given, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The bidder's available bid capacity must be more than the total estimated cost of the works, and they must demonstrate that they have the necessary capacity and resources to complete the works, including a sufficient amount of bid capacity. The value of similar works completed is considered in the calculation of the available bid capacity.
