The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions, with a total value of work performed in the last five years. The required prior work experience includes: * Total value of Civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years * Work performed as prime contractor, or as a nominated sub-contractor, in the past five years * Quantities of work executed as prime contractor, or as a nominated sub-contractor, in the last five years The value and percentage of similar works completed are as follows: * The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract (similar work) of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. * The works may have been executed by the applicant as prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. * Substantially completed works means those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. * The value of similar works completed should be at least 40% of the proposed contract value, and the percentage of completion for substantially completed works should be at least 90%. * The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover (defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only) in any one year, over the last five years of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. Additionally, the bidder is required to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract.
