The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed by the applicant as prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have experience in civil engineering constructions, and should provide information on the total value of civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years, and the value of contracts completed. The bidder should also provide information on their existing commitments and ongoing works, including the value of works completed and the value of works remaining to be completed. The value of the proposed contract is approximately 3,21,07,208.02 Rs, and the bidder should have completed a contract of at least 40% of this value, which is 1,28,042,883.21 Rs, within the last five years. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, in any one year, over the last five years of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The available bid capacity will be calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, B is the value at the current price level of existing commitments and ongoing works, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works. For joint ventures, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria.
