The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as 90% or more of the original contract price. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract. The bidder must provide details of the work performed, including the project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of the contract, date of issue of the work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. A certificate from the employer or engineer-in-charge should be submitted along with the application, incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. Additionally, the bidder should have access to liquid assets of up to 25% of the value of the contract and a minimum annual financial turnover of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years.
