The required prior work experience for the bidder includes achieving a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years, and experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as of the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90 percent or more of the original contract price. The value and percentage of similar works completed are: - 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract - 90 percent completion of works - Annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for. The bidder should have prior work experience of at least five years, with the works executed as prime contractor, joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should have substantially completed works, which means those works that are at least 90% completed, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, B is the value at the current price level of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next period of completion of work, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works. The bidder should have a sound financial position, demonstrating long-term profitability, including an estimated financial projection for the next two years. The bidder should also provide accurate information on any litigation or arbitration resulting from contracts completed or under execution by them over the last five years. The lead partner of a joint venture should meet at least 50% of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of other joint venture partners will be considered if it is not less than 30% of the qualifying criteria. The bidder's bid capacity should be more than the total estimated cost of the works. The available bid capacity will be applied to each partner of a joint venture to the extent of their proposed participation in the execution of the work. Liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities should be 25% of the tender amount.
