The required prior work experience for the bidder includes quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the past five years. The bidder should list the information requested, including year, name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and remarks. Specifically, the bidder needs to provide details on the quantity of work performed in various categories such as Cement Concrete, Masonry, Earth Works, and Bituminous Work. The bidder should have experience in similar work, with a focus on highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway. The value and percentage of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract. The bidder should have completed works with a value of at least an amount that is not specified, but should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract value. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. Additionally, the bidder should provide information on existing commitments and on-going works, including contract reference, value of contract, stipulated period of completion, and value of works remaining to be completed. The bidder should also provide a solvency certificate of 20% of the amount put to tender of the current calendar year and a minimum cash investment of up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract.
