The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in civil engineering constructions, specifically completing works of a similar nature over the last five years, including the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The bidder needs to provide information on the total value of civil engineering constructions worked on in the last five years and the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor. They should also provide details of projects completed, including project name, employer, contract value, and completion date. A minimum annual financial turnover is required, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years.
