3.2.1. General A. Contractor Shall Carry Out All Site Surveys Of Existing Facilities Associated With The Scope Of Work To: • Verify All Interfaces, Tie-in Points And Interlocks Between Existing And New Installations. • Identify Preliminary Locations For Both Temporary And Permanent Works. B. Contractor Shall Verify The Design Standards, Specifications And Other Information Herein Referred To By Company, Against Actual Condition At Site Prior To Execution. C. If Contractor Desires To Use Codes And Standards Different To Those Specified Herein, Contractor Shall Furnish Soft Copies And Full Details Of All Proposed Codes And Standards With Sufficient Technical Justifications For Company Review And Acceptance Prior To Commencing The Work. D. Should Any Conflict Arise, Between Technical Documents In Appendix-a Without Any Cost And Time Implication During Execution, The Following Ranking Of Precedence Shall Apply: • Qatar Statutory Regulations • Attachment- 1, Technical Specification • Attachment- 2, Drawings • Attachment-3, References E. Contractor Shall Be Responsible For The Engineering Verification And Provide Supplemental Design Required For The Complete Operation Of The System. F. Determine Existing Plant Operating Procedures And Philosophies Especially For All The Tie-ins. G. Verify Availability And Adequacy Of All Required Utilities And Services On Site. H. Design Shall Be Carried Out In Considering The Operation And Maintenance Requirements. I. Contractor Shall Submit The Detailed Drawings And Specifications For Company’s Review And Comments. J. Contractor Shall Obtain All Relevant Mic (dc1, Dc2, Building Permit), Mme, Qcdd And Kahramaa Permits And Authorizations (including Visas, Travel Expense, Pib, Mic Gate Passes, Photograph Permits, Etc.) For Execution Of Scope Of Work Whenever Required K. The Process Design Capable Of Meeting The Performance Criteria As Specified Including Any Licensing Required. Fabrication And Erection Of All Equipment And Their Supports; Complete Hydraulic And Pneumatic Systems Including Pipework, Civil, Structural, Electrical And Control Systems. L. Required Design Changes And Updates On The Existing Electrical, Instrumentation, Control And Automation System. M. Contractor Shall Incorporate Ergonomics And Safety Features During Design And Layout Which Shall Provide Adequate Access For Operating And Maintenance Personnel. Ergonomic And Safety Review Of Proposed System Shall Be Performed During The Detailed Engineering Phase. N. Design, Supply And Installation Of All Utility Systems Within The Plant And Connection To The Agreed Termination Points At The Battery Limits. O. Design And Fabrication And Supply Of All Safety Guards For Individual Machines Including Any Guards Or Barriers Against Mobile Equipment. P. Supply And Installation Of Access Platforms Where Necessary For The Safe Operation And Maintenance Of The Equipment. Q. Marking, Packing And Bundling Of All Items To Suit Shipment And Site Storage. R. Delivery Of All Items To Project Site. S. Preservation Of Equipment And Systems During The Period From Delivery To Start-up/take-over. Refer Attachment-1. T. Supply Of Any Special Tools Required For The Operation And Maintenance Of The Facility. U. Testing And Commissioning Of The System And Equipment. V. Training For Operation And Maintenance Of The Systems. W. Hydraulic Oils And Lubricants Including Flushing Oils, And All Other Consumable Items, Up Until The Time The Equipment Is Taken Into Use By Company.
