The bidder should have prior work experience as a prime contractor of works of a similar nature over the last five years. They should have completed works with a value of not less than one third of the contract value. The bidder must have executed quantities of work of at least 40% of the estimated quantities of major items. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed (not less than 90% of contract value) works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. They should also provide details of works underway or contractually committed, and clients who may be contacted for further information on those contracts. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years, including the value and percentage of similar works completed. Specifically, they need to provide details of single similar work (1/3 of value of work). The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value up to a certain amount and 75% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value more than that amount in any one year. The bidder should have a minimum cash investment of up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract. The bidder should also have liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of not less than 10% of the estimated cost of the package. The bidder should submit certificates from the Engineer-in-charge for the similar nature of work done and executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years. The bidder should also submit an undertaking for investment of minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work of value not less than 1/3 (one third) of the estimated value, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value.
